Fantastic day for an autocross! And this one went smoothly, just like a Classic should.

Good to see some new faces today, hope to see you all at Tampa Bay Downs on May 9th.

I had fun! Big thanks to Joshua for offering his tires for me to use ( and abuse, sorry ) this event. Also thanks to Patrick for letting me use his impact for my tire change. My turn-in timing was all off thanks to the tires but I don't think my time was bad for the car and tire combo. I could have done a 36.900~800 clean but I didn't put the run together.

Also on my last runs of the day I REALLY was having a problem with 2 of the big cracks in the runway. The one on the way up the slalom would cause the front left tire to jump at the worst possible time. And the opposite on the way back down. I wish I had gotten smart and remembered them because each time it would catch me off guard.

I took a few pictures but not really an ideal track layout for picture taking and I was working course. I should have gone down to the practice area and got a few picture from the grid area but that didn't occur to me until after the event.

Yes, thanks to all. A small crowd like today really calls for folks to step up, and today was a great example of that!

I drove today the best I've driven in a long time. Taking the rear sway bar off was a huge improvement in rear traction and really let me get on the throttle a lot earlier. At least, I think...TBD in a couple of weeks will be the proof - can I do it again? Hmmm...

Yes you can do it again. I took my rear sway bar off for this event too and I'm looking forward to the next event to see if it helps on asphalt also.

It looks like I'll be finishing the season in my car in S2. Matt's car has me wanting some 225 RS3s
