Hey, did you hear? We're doing a Classic event the day after Independence Day! As with all Classic events, "some experience required".

Registration is open:
Get Registered! The deadline is June 29th.

We're still working on the course, should have it ready early next week.

OK, I'm in

This is a no brainer for me. (what do you mean that's because I have no brain)!
It's a Sunday so no conflict with my usual Saturday morning work schedule, it's a holiday weekend so even less conflict with work and.... it's my birthday :-D

What better birthday present than a classic autocross? Super excited to be able to join in on a classic, I can't remember the last time I was able to make it to one. Yeah eight runs baby! And a world famous FAST lunch.

See you there

Dan

I'm looking for a codrive in a decently setup rear wheel drive car, preferably something that has the ability throttle steer. If anyone is interested let me know, I'd be willing to pay money for wear and tear.

If anyone out there with a fwd or awd car is looking to learn a thing or two I wouldn't be opposed to co-driving with you and acting as an instructor.

I'm also not opposed to being a car slut at this event if more than one person is interested in letting me co-drive.

Okay, y'all. Looks like this is going to be a lightly attended event. Being a "family holiday" kind of weekend, we thought it might be a good opportunity for us to open this up as a FAST "Family Day". As you know, we don't normally allow children under the age of 16 at Brooksville events. For THIS event only, we're going to lift that restriction! Bring out the fam, let 'em watch!

FAST Family Day Details:
  • We will issue wristbands at the gate for all who are authorized to be in the "hot areas" just like we do for Tampa Bay Downs.
  • Anyone who doesn't meet the requirements of a driver or rider will not get a wristband and MUST stay in the designated viewing area.
  • The above means NO children in grid, no children riding along, they MUST stay in the viewing area.
  • There will be a clearly marked viewing area, and it will have a clear view of the course.
  • Guests must all be pre-registered. This is still a "secure" site, we have to know who's coming.
  • Bring your own shade, chairs, blankets, etc. FAST will provide water, soft drinks and lunch!
  • If this goes well, maybe we'll do it again.

I have such a car, but I am more interested in driving a Viper than sharing my Mazdaspeed. I got snake-bit driving the orange Viper at TBD last weekend (I ran a 42.3 in it, btw). I was busy driving/instructing during your runs, but I did notice that you were having difficulty driving smoothly in 1st gear. I used 2nd on my best run in the Viper and, I must admit, it felt slow. ;)

I cannot attend this event, since I will have family in town, but perhaps the next event?

A small event is a good opportunity to do stuff you can't do at a larger event. So, we're doing lots of big full-cross-course sweeper action on a single-car course this time. Also using minimal cones so we can get by with fewer work stations. Should be fun!

You must be confusing me with someone who drives a Viper because of my handle. I typically drive the bright blue MS3, and at TBD last weekend I was in a silver BRZ.

That is a VERY interesting turnaround Loren, I like it. To anyone reading this - a short line will be fast here! Don't use the entire width of the runway. I'm wondering if a first gear drift around it in a rwd car might even be the fastest way.

Convinced wife to come out for this one even tho' it's early in the day (home early too).

This looks to me a great opportunity to bring out some friends as guests, give them all some free rides with grins AND a lunch too for nearly nothing!! I'm working on that too. Time's a wasting!!

ALSO a great opportunity to shake out some rust from brain and get ready for the final FAST open points event. Excellent course to stay focused on driving skills.

Whoa.

Just noticed Dave S. has a newer ride = '12 Z06.
That will make S1 even more interesting for the end of the season.
Maybe Tony will come out and play too now?
