I'll second that.
The course was awesome (kudos to Steve), we got in 6 runs, and the event ran as smooth as silk!
Thanks to everyone for being a part of it and helping out in hundreds of little (and big) ways. FAST doesn't happen with you!
Results are posted, btw:

I hate learning curves. It took me all 6 runs to get a clean working video from the new location. Learned to flip the video AND how to push the buttons eventually. Won't do it again any time soon.
Suffice to say it shows graphically why I hate Chicago Boxes and it was .8 second off my best time.
Oh well.
It was a thinking man's/woman's course for sure. Wish I could have opened up that box a couple feet on both ends.
6 tries Tony Davis good job staying clean on your last run to beat me by .018 sec. Geesh. He was dirty all morning and slow too until that 6th run. I vote for ONLY 5 runs from now on
It was a great day and if you don't think S0 is tough our fearless leader Ken Marion beat Elliot Harvey "The King" on Hoosiers for FTD....

Does that mean ONLY one FTD was handed out? Yes!! Probably never happen again. Elliot is bound to notice that one spark plug wire we pulled
Thanks to everyone for a great day of racing.

That's where it started, but the test run felt WAY too fast at the finish, which made the last left leading to the finish seem much more severe. People would have been spinning off into the grass (at high speed), or getting loose and spinning through the timing lights. So, we tightened the Chicago box to scrub some speed and allow a satisfying burst of (safe) acceleration through the finish.
The Chicago box was (in my mind) the most challenging part of the course. You had to brake JUST ENOUGH to get through it without scrubbing off so much speed that you bogged coming out. If you had the precision, you could get through it pretty quickly! In hindsight, I think the course would have been lacking without that element the way it was.

Bottom line is we all ran the same course and some were crazy fast as usual.
Wonder what will ever slow Drew and Ken down?
I will always hate Chicago Boxes - it's in my DNA. Probably why I never get any better at driving them

The Chi box before the finish was well though-out and a challenging slow-down element that did the job. I botched it every time, but ran through the finish gate bouncing off the rev limiter or grabbing third even when I scrubbed off too much speed to get through it. Driven correctly, no doubt this would have been the most rewarding spot on the course.

Some people munched out:
Some people chilled:
The Mayor got intimate with his 'vette while some people watched:
Some people got a close up view:
Some people brought really wide tires:

Another great FAST autocross. I can't wipe the grin off my face. First off, thanks Loren & Ben for loaning me the FASTiva. That thing is part carnival ride, part clown car & part science fair project, and a hoot to drive. Like a good ole school horse pony mare, if you plod around she'll be fine... however, if you want to race her but drive her wrong she'll let you know with giggle-inducing bucks and spins. And spin she did when I mishandled her (apologies to my passenger!). It took me a 7th, unofficial run to begin to figure her out and get a clean 36.739. May not count for the books but it's a run I'll never forget

Man, that was a pretty awesome course, and the stang did not break! Howerver looks like I'll be joining the LSD clutch rebuild club. On the turn around with the weight transfered off the rear right tire it just spun, rpm sored, gave some tire smoke and went nowhere till the right tire settled firmly, spinning ain't winning...
Thanks to Jamie, I see now that I've been babing that car, its capable of being quite a bit quicker, frightenly quicker, with the current setup. Now I got to get used to elements coming up much quicker and stop conning all, especially on quick courses like this one.
Oh and had tons of fun "instructing" some first timers and reliving my first time through them.
Thanks FAST crew for a great time!

Man! Lots of "FAST" drivers today. Need to learn the new [to me] ride and shake the rust off my boots. Good to see some old faces.
Agreed that Chicago box was sinister and would truly make or break a run.

Yep, that was a fun and challenging course. Boy do I have a lot of cone marks to clean off of my paint! Thanks FAST for another awesome event, and another 2nd place sticker...
As usual, any comments or coaching appreciated.
