So, I have a silly question. I'm trying to convince him to co-drive my car, but he is hesitant. He does keep (sarcastically) saying that he could beat me in his Dodge. I figured I'd call his bluff by registering him in his Dodge and see if he'll man up.
Any chance this thing would be allowed to run?

Standard pickup with stock suspension and "nothing fancy" tires, sure. No problem. Jacked up, or taller off-road suspension, nah. Stock suspension with super-grippy tires that could cause it to grip where it ought to slide, probably not. LOWERED pickup, generally not a problem at all.

His truck is a stock 2002 Dodge Dakota crew cab 4X4. Tires are nothing special. I'm guessing it's a "we'll decide when we see it" type of thing? It's not on the SCCA classing list so what class might it go in?

If the 4 x 4 version rides much higher than the 4 x 2, it's gonna be iffy.

4x4 usually is too tall. And crew cab makes it more top heavy, like an SUV. Send us photos for a final say, but probably no.

as long as I'm not course working. It was scary enough having a grand Cherokee srt8 looking like it was heading at me.
Ready for a course map though

Yeah, I need to finish the map. Then get it reviewed and approved. It's coming.

Last Sunday I was told to put my wife in the back seat of my RX8 to push it's ass down. Either this rig needs 22" rims w/315 tires or drop spindles? Or maybe a lot of dirt? Your friend must think you really suck at driving? My wife was not happy with that comment about putting her ass in the back. I finished behind a Lotus in 2nd. Saroya finished in 3rd save my last 7th run. Whoa. Don't motivate the ladies they will kick your ass.
Tell your "friend" to kick your ass in a "real car",,,aka yours. He sounds like a DFL to me.

Woah, calm down there. He's joking about actually running the truck. I just want to see his reaction if the truck were actually allowed to run.

Pictures of ugly trucks bring out the worst in me. Sorry.

Wouldn't allow it to compete. Too top-heavy. A quick look at the interwebz says the 4x4 is 3 inches taller than the 4x2.
And besides, since it's only a joke, it doesn't matter anyway.

I'm still working on the course map, but at the request of The Mayor, the course will be a lot like this one:

holy cow.
My son walks across the stage at UCF on Saturday at 1pm. Anyone have any idea how I can race and still make the graduation in Orlando by 1?

We are at an airport, feel like buying a plane?

If you were to do gate or course setup, bribe someone to let you run in the first heat. No sweat. You'd be out of there by 10:30am? It's only 1.5 hours down Rt50 to Orlando.

So far it looks like it is Mustang VS Miata showdown in M2.

Or better yet, get a helicopter and land at the graduation!
