Cold air intake in class G

I don't see anything about the intake, I see that fuel delivery would push a car out of production, but nothing about an air intake. Just curious if picking up a cheap intake would push me out of G in the Miata.
I don't have any burning desire to mod the car, but as cheap parts present themselves...

If you're talking about the Miata, you're not going to gain anything significant other than noise from a cheap intake, anyway. Best thing you can do is a DIY hose off of the stock filter box back to a hole in the firewall. THAT method is effective.
Don't know how it fits with the FAST classing... but, unlike most clubs, if the rules don't say that you can't... you CAN.

Nope, no restrictions on intake. Adding more air doesn't do much without more fuel...hence the restrictions on fuel delivery to prevent big gains.

Now the Z3 on the other hand... has enough excess fuel capacity for Lots of vroom vroom. I'm a HUGE fan of that M44 engine. I know this is going to cause an uproar, It's heavy but worlds beyond anything available in a miata until just recently.
A well tweaked M44 can deliver 160hp to the wheels. and about as much torque as your standard international harvester, and well tweaked is most of the time maxing out the stock components. an intake with heat shield does make a difference. since you have a hotwire AFM it will pick up the added denser airflow and actually match the fuel.
the fact that a 1.9 litre Z3 can fit 245mm or 10" slicks under the fenders is a little added bonus. while Loren has spent years with his miatas I have almost as much time working on BMW's and when I get off my lazy butt I'm going to build another Z3.

If you want to seriously do that, you need to get with me. I want to sell mine.

I'm required to pay off my sentra before I will let myself buy another car. so until I can come up with $6000 flash cash I cannot purchase anything.
unless your willing to make an equity trade.
2006, 53,000 miles only driven on Sundays, and other days ending in y. SE-R Limited edition Victory Specification Track package, one of maybe a dozen ever ordered.
which included brembo brakes, and a 2400lb curb weight. (too many options deleted to list them all)
Pedegree.. one lap of America contender, 2nd in economy class. could have won with better drivers.
Several rallycross first in class, a couple FTD at autocross events.
spares.... Everything that wares. rotors, pads, clutch, tires, wheels, a complete coilover suspension, I have spare everything that gets thrown in. I'll even throw in a NEW set of Hankook R204 Rally tires and A set of F200 Slicks mounted.
it's a steal for someone paying off the balance of a loan.

beautiful color.
how the hell did you get 54k on the clock just driving sundays? are you driving 1k a weekend?
I bought my wife a blue one a couple years ago. (just a se model) Apparently, when you buy a car for your wife, it ends up being your car, and she drives whatever you have. Had I known, I would have boughten the 5spd. I got shafted.

It's a quick car for sure though.
