Hey! Now that August is past us, we're back to our usual twice-per-month schedule! That means...

There's a FAST Classic Autocross on September 24th at Brooksville!

Y'all know the drill. FAST Classics are smaller events that offer more seat time, more fun, lunch with your friends, and an early afternoon. It the best thing since double-wishbone suspension!

The catch is, we limit it to experienced autocrossers. If you've done at least 5 prior autocross events, go get registered! If you don't meet that requirement, all hope is not lost. You just need to find an experienced autocrosser to act as your "sponsor" for the day and take responsibility for showing you the righteous path. Don't know anybody? Inquire here!

We ran almost exactly the same course last September, and the results are interesting. Yeah, there was a fair bit of cone action. But, A LOT of people hit no more than one or two cones total over the course of 8 runs, and more than a few hit none. A select few people just couldn't get it together and consistently hit cones.

I guess you can either slalom, or you can't.

I didn't get to drive this course before, so I'm kinda looking forward to it.

Pro tip: You can't accelerate all the way through a decreasing slalom.

You know? It's really cool to have FTD on a course that's been done before.

You want easy peasy? Use only 12 cones? Go to Dairy Queen.

I'll go with it, I was third on this course behind Drew, in John's car, and Joe Brandon. Since they're both not in my class that means easy first place, right? ;-)

I am signed up, but a family emergency has popped up and I need to leave town. I am scheduled to return on Thursday, but if I don't, can I still get a credit for a future event even though it is after the registration deadline? Maybe I should just cancel now?

Oops, just found the cancellation policy on the website. I will probably just cancel.
