EDIT: This post is from November 2016. But, if you haven't seen a FAST Reminder email in a few months, perhaps you missed it?

We've been having trouble with our mail list software, and so we've decided to migrate to a more reliable platform. Taking this opportunity to clean up the list and start fresh.

So... if you want to receive Event Reminder emails, you'll have to resubscribe. Sorry for the trouble.

The old list is done and gone! The first email to the new list will be sent Sunday evening. Get subscribed, so you don't miss anything!

Good catch, yes, Jun 1. Edit: No, I was right the first time, I just forgot that we were past that date!

I sent several emails out to members before that date, so anyone should have known about it if they were paying attention.

I haven't seen a email from FAST in a long time, just thought maybe you guys didn't love me anymore. Oh well, wish I knew about the early bird special when it was available, guess I will just have to keep catching the early bird special at Cracker Barrel.

Brian, if you haven't changed your email address, check your spam filter. Members-only emails are sent sometimes for stuff like this. Those come from MotorsportsReg.com and go to the email address you use for registration. The regular "event reminder" emails come from a separate opt-in subscription on the FAST website. (and that was moved to a new service last year, which caused us to have to start our list over again... but, everyone who was previously subscribed was notified when that hapened)

What I'm saying is that if you WANT to get emails from FAST and you're not getting them... there is some action you could take.

Hmmmm, nothing in any of my spam files, and to think of it, I haven't seen anything from Motorsport Reg in a long time either. Haven't really noticed it until now, so maybe I got deleted from the list somehow, because I haven't changed any settings and I get my emails on 3 separate devices and I checked them all. So, yes I would still like to be on the mailing list, thanks.

Nobody gets deleted from MSReg, you're in there. But, you've only attended 4 events since 2015. So, your "member" status has waned. That's why you didn't get the "members only" emails.

This was also mentioned in the Event Reminder emails at least twice. If you are subscribed to the Event Reminders, you'll get those emails. I'm not seeing you on that list. That's something you'll need to do yourself. http://drivefast.org/event-info/event-reminders/

So, to solve problem #1 (not getting member only emails)... be more active! To solve problem #2 (not getting Event Reminders), subscribe!

That sucks, you would think that after all the events I've attended after all these years, that I'd at least still be on the list. I would see the Fast reminders but never read them because I knew I wouldn't be attending that event, didn't know I had to be proactive to stay on the list. Heck I still get email reminders from PCA, and Corvette club and I haven't run with them guys in many years. Oh well, I guess I will have to go and re-enter my info if I want to receive reminders, never had to do that before with any business I've been associated with.

Generally, you don't. But, as mentioned, we switched to a new mail list service (one that doesn't get half of our emails bounced as spam, so it's much better!). When we did that, our list got wiped out because it requires everyone to "opt in".

Before that happened, the following email was sent with the subject line "FAST - IMPORANT"

We really did do everything we could to ensure that everyone knew about this change. Sorry you missed it.

Okay, I've got my email back in the system, I'm now part of the group again, I'm no longer shunned from the Fast society.
