FAST Open - April 8

Postby Loren » Wed Mar 22, 2017 12:08 am

Y'all know that registration is open for the next Open event already, right? Sho'nuff. And we've got another killer course in store for you. It's one of those revised "retread" courses. Yeah, we did it before, we liked it A LOT... and now we're making it even better... and longer.

Registration & Event Info

And, hey, there's a big Miata car show happening on the same day. There just might be a bunch of extra Miatas registering for the Early session. Don't say we didn't warn you. Register early!

Basic event details:
  • This is a FAST Open autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
  • Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
  • Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers AND Guests. We can't let you in the gate if you're not registered.
  • Driver entry fee is $39.00, guest entry fee is $7.50.
  • This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8am-12pm or the Late Session 12pm-5pm, or both.
  • Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

I think the last thing they would want to do before a car show is to get their cars all dirty.

Monday.

To keep people (myself included) from getting confused and printing the wrong map, I never publish a course map for the next event before the current event.

Why not? I think those of us running Miatas should register in the morning group and drive down after lunch, keep the numbers, the cone marks, and the tire dust. Who's interested?

I met one of those verbal "rich guys" from Maine who winters here at his Mom's. His custom+HP tweeks were expensive. I could not envision an old guy cleaning his engine compartment with QTips and having a shit fit with a dust cloud blew by with the bonnet open. :binky:

Early Session is filling up fast, only about 10 slots left. Plenty of room in the Late Session... for now. Get registered! Round up all your friends, remind them to register.
