The subject says it all - who'd like to take a shot at course design and coordinating the rest of us? It's really a piece of cake...

Brooksville isn't that hard either. Its a long runway, there's a big grid to lay things out on, and there's a pizza place down the road a ways.
I'd actually volunteer to do it, but that's getting close to "ship day" and I will barely have time to sleep, much less design a course and order pizzas.
And whoever does it, we do need more water, unless Charles stashed some that we didn't see.

If it makes it any easier for someone to step up:
- I will take care of getting ice and water for the day.
I believe we are out of chalk for the chalking roller. If someone can tell me where to buy that, I will do that too.

Geez, 63 drivers enjoyed the last autocross... and nobody is willing to step up and run the next one? Come on, folks. Chair an event! You get to design a course, run the show for a day (it's not that hard, we have a written guide and people to give you all the help you need), and when it's all done you can feel good that you did your part.
What am *I* doing? I'm preparing to chair a "school" event as soon as Steve gives me a date.
Your turn!

I don't think I'm capable with my limited free time. I'd love to at some point but I'm in the middle of a national event (possibly two soon) where I'm one of the organizers and I am building two cars at the moment.
Sorry, I did think pretty hard about stepping up but I don't think this is the best time for me.

The marble dust comes from Allan's sporting goods on Alt. 19 in Seminole. It's about 8 bucks a bag. Purchase it at the counter, and they'll send you around the side to pick it at the back door.
Plan on getting dusty...

There should be at least a bag and a half left. Won't be a big deal for Brooksville -- I don't think we've ever lined a course there.

Your answer was better... always better to teach someone how to find their own answer.

Thanks, I've never been there before, but whats up with the white column down the center? Can the course cross over it? Or is it just the other half of the runway?

It's a single runway, 150 feet wide and a bazillion feet long (though we're only renting about 1800 feet of it... and with grid space, that leaves 1200 feet for course). The map just splits that narrow skinny space so that it will fit the page. If we put one single long strip on the page, cones would be microscopic!

I do my course design and layout in Photoshop, so the first thing I do is rejoin the 2 pieces of the runway. That also allows me to move course features as one block to adjust distances or rearrange features for better flow. When I'm done I split it back up again for printage.
