Dan and I, being the only members in attendance last week, made the bilateral decision that we're bored with the Wild Rover. Nice little place, decent food, friendly people who are always happy to see us, not too busy... but, it's just played out for us. Time to change things up a little.

And, since nobody else is jumping up with any ideas, I figured I'd declare someplace that's not far from where we were that I *know* has outstanding food because I go there about once every week already. What I don't know for sure is just how busy they are on a Monday night. But, I guess we'll find out. I know they do get some after work "happy hour" people, but I think they're mostly gone by 7:00. We definitely want to be on the patio, it's universally loud inside. (high ceilings + music + people = loud)

If y'all let me know you're coming, I can reserve a table on the patio for us. (if you don't let me know you're coming, and they happen to be busy, it could be a cluster trying to seat stray people) Trust me, the food will blow you away! I hear the beer is good, too, if that's your thing. Wherever you're coming from, it's worth the drive. (and if you're coming from Brandon... it's further West than the Rover, but it's a shorter drive... )

El Goog says it's not only 0.9 miles further, but I'm also going to have to commit 2 extra minutes, up hill, in the snow... both ways!

Yep! Happy to try the new spot. Rover was good, but the limited menu and ice tea costs were getting a bit old.

Actually Jen and I have been there. The food was really good, and they make great whiskey drinks in a smoked glass. Need my autonomous driving car so I can get home [emoji4]

Planning to attend again after my hiatus. Can't say I'll miss the Rover much though they did seem to really appreciate our business, looking forward to a better menu and 2 miles closer!

I will probably be late, so don’t wait for me to order and please save me a seat. The TL is in the shop, so I have to wait for Jen to get home from her workout to get my car back.

They don't do reservations. They do call-ahead seating for parties of 10 or more.

So, we'll wing it. I'll try to get there a little early and hope I can grab something.

He did confirm that their dinner rush tapers off by 7:30. So, it may be busy when we arrive, but should chill as the evening goes on.

There's a dangerously good menu to explore here...

I've been through most of it. Fortunately, they also have interesting monthly specials. And an awful lot of things on the regular menu that are worth revisiting.
