Which class???
This upcoming event is my second time out. I have a bone stock Nissan 350z on street tires. I don’t think I put myself in the correct class last time. I just registered for the next event and I think I screwed it up again. I saw that I can edit it but I have no idea which class I’m supposed to be in. I have tried looking up scca rules for classification but get lost. Can anyone help?

Which class???
Short answer: S1 is the class for a stock 350Z .
Long answers:
For stock casting we take the "SCCA" stock ( Actually it's called "Street" ) classing and group some together to make for better competition.
Here is the official list of cars and classing for them.

Under the "C Street class" you will find your 350Z. Now that we have your SCCA class ( CS ) we can pull up the FAST rules page:
http://drivefast.org/rules/classing-overview/
BS/CS are combine to make the S1 class so that is the class for your car. Hope to see you on the 7th!

Which class???
For FAST, you don't need to get wrapped up in SCCA "rules". We don't follow their rules. We merey use their "Street" category vehicle class lists to define our base classing.EdBrandt wrote:I have tried looking up scca rules for classification but get lost. Can anyone help?
All the ins and outs of what's allowed in SCCA Street or Street Touring, or anything else are completely irrelevant to us. Our actual classing rules are much simpler.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
