Holy crap, I'm going out in the garage on Friday, the 13th. What could possibly go wrong???

Anyway, I'll be taking the front suspension apart on the Mirage (again) to install the new bump stops and the old springs and reset the ride height and all that. Need to verify the alignment, too, since I have new tires and don't want to trash them.

Might play with the welding cart and the welder a little bit, too.

Left side is done. Gonna go drive it to settle, and it's all is well, I'll set the other side to match.

Then I have to check alignment.

Car is all done. 3.5 degrees of camber, 1/8" total toe in. Good enough for now.

Got the welder back together. Messing with the cart.

I didn't even know. I just thought it was one of those random internet acronyms. I don't remember where I first saw it, but it was a long time ago... 15-20 years back.

Apparently, it DOES date back to Rumpole of the Bailey (which sounds vaguely familiar, but I've never conciously heard of) in 1975, and even further back than that... by 100 years! It comes from an English novel I've never heard of, called "She", published in 1886. I'll have to add that to the list of weird books I ought to read, along with The Naked Lunch.
