Dunnellon is turning out to be a really fun place to autocross! We'll be there again on June 16th with our longest Dunnellon course to date, using a bunch of pristine new asphalt.

Dunnellon isn't as far aways as you might think. Only about an hour North of Brooksville. Short trip people who live up that way, and a quick run up I-75 (or US-41) for Tampa area folks. We start our Dunnellon events a bit later, so you'll have plenty of time to get there.

This event will be open to all drivers, just like a FAST Open event, but it won't be a part of our Championship series. It will be run more like a Classic event, casual and fun, but without the experience requirement of a Classic. It's "just an Autocross", come on out and have some fun!

If you know any autocrossers (or people who might become autocrossers) who live in the Ocala/Gainesville area, be sure they know about this event!

We'll be providing lunch for all registered drivers and guests at this event, too!

Registration is open until June 11. Get registered!

All drivers AND guests must pre-register, this is a closed site.

Good catch! Yes, this event is Saturday, not Sunday.

Dunnellon is further North. It should be cooler
It's a nice drive. I've varied my routes to check out the areas in between.

Hello FAST regulars,

My son, wife and I are coming up from Fort Myers for the 6/16 event as first time participants in a FAST autocross event.

Looking for a reasonably priced but clean hotel/motel recommendation within 15-20 minutes of the Dunnellon Track.

Any suggestions?

15-20 minutes would be tough, unless you're camping. The site is the Marion County Airport, which is 15 minutes or so outside of Dunnellon. Dunnellon isn't that large a town. You might look up what's available around Rainbow Springs State Park, which is not far away, or if you're willing to open up the morning drive to 40 minutes or so, Crystal River.

I used to live in Big D back when it was a one-stoplight town. It's bigger than that now, but still a small town. There are hotels there, though. I can't speak to how good or cheap they are. They would be within about 10-15 minutes of the site.

But, if you're coming up I-75, you can get off at 200, and there are plenty of places to stay there. Should be within about 20-30 minutes. Early in the morning, it might not even take that long.

I made reservations at the Comfort suites in Dunnellon. I received good reviews and looks pretty new.

Steve was close. It's more of a slalom, left, slalom, straight, turn-around, wallom, big offset, bent slalom to the right, and finish.

For some reason I thought I had already signed up for this one, but apparently not. Well that's rectified now.

I almost signed up for M3 just to increase my chances of a sticker , S4's a tough place to be these days

Just registered, if I don't get the parts I ordered/fixed in time I might just take the GTI out since its still an M3 car with autocross tires on.

Effective now, we're renaming FAST Classic events to "FAST Class S4 events".... Right now, everyone outside of S4 is guaranteed a sticker just for showing up!

In other words, GET REGISTERED already!
