What's that you say? You need just a little more practice before the first event of the 2019 Championship? Say no more. We got your back, fam!
This is a Classic event, which means fewer entries, more runs and no formal novice instruction. We do require all entrants to have competed in at least 5 prior autocross events so that they sort of know what they're doing (or enlist an experienced sponsor).
We'll be providing lunch for all registered drivers and guests at this event.
Registration is open until September 3. You know what to do, and you know to do it early.
This event is at Brooksville, so pre-registration is required for ALL drivers and guests.

It's a cut'n'paste... more like around Labor Day.

September 3. Good catch. I'm glad somebody's paying attention!
Registration always closes the Monday before the event. Then Late Registration until 8pm Wednesday.

Registration is 1/3 full already. And those people are mostly "new and unfamiliar" names, which is great! But, it also means that if you're slacking and thinking you're going to register at the last minute... it's probably not going to happen for you.
Go get registered!

Good idea. I think I've got everything on the website up-to-date. Just changed the S5 synopsis on MSReg.
Let me know if I missed it anywhere.

Look it's just a matter of time. S3 needs to fill up with a lot of wannabee's. I've got 20lbs/HP facing them. Shouldn't be too hard for them to win? Or never come back. That's sort of my quandary. I want them to come back. I also want to kick their butts. I'll decide next week. At least wife would get a decent meal out of it as a "guest"/passenger this time. Are these people coming to the picnic too? They should. Bring roasted corn.

I've got 27lbs/HP. That's more better, right?

Absolutely!! And yet you can still spin the ultra fat tire on launch in the dry:)

Not so much in the rain tho' right? (Geezus my Vette vert is 9.5lbs/HP and runs low 13's in 1/4. How scary fast is that thing?)

Alright, y'all. Here's the course map. Putting it out a little early so that you can stew on it for a while. Just remember to keep it on a slow simmer.

Even looks interesting driven in reverse direction but then of course you'd have to move the trailer.
Hey they started mowing the hay out there (where we don't run). There's every reason to believe it will all be baled by this event.

Baled hay can be good or bad. Sometimes they leave the bales in bad places. A saw a car at a BMW event slide into one of those giant round hay bales once. Soft-dented every panel on the side of the car! Made me much more aware of such things.

Those things are heavy, but they do roll. We've had to move at least one before.

Some drivers just don't get it? I watched a C5 and an STi get lost into the weeds recently at the airport. There were others I didn't see do it. Somehow I kept a 3799lb whale out of there and never hit a cone in 8 tries (3 reruns from dipshits) and didn't finish last. The object is to not hit a cone and stay on the pavement. Isn't it?

And making those little RX-8 tires squeal the whole time.... Standing out there on the far end of the track, though, I was beginning to think we'd
never get him off the course...what, Doug has
another rerun...?
