Like Loren suggested, I should give this invitation its own attention. So next weekend, 10/12-10/14, I plan on swapping the motor out of my '90 miata with one out of a '02. This is my first swap and I would be very appreciative if there are some kind folks willing to lend a hand. I believe I have most of the tools I need to complete the job but if you'd like to come lend a hand and have some bangin tools that would make things go smoother, that would be awesome!

I will be prepping the car for the swap starting Friday when I get home around 4 or 430. Anyone is welcome to come help whenever they can, whether you want to just come and hang out or if you want to get your hands dirty, I'm all for it!

When: Friday 10/12 to Sunday 10/14. Come whenever you'd like after I get home on Friday.

Where: My non air conditioned garage, New Tampa.

Drinks and snacks will be provided. Let me know if you want to come and I'll shoot you the address.

I should be able to make at least one of the days.

Hate to pile on the "not gonna help" bandwagon, but I'll be in Wisconsin.

Fortunately, you seem to know what you're doing and should really only need help for the actual out and in parts. The rest you can pretty easily do yourself. (and sometimes it's better that way because you know what's been done and nothing gets missed)

This is the Grassroots $2018 weekend followed by the PCA autocross Sunday. A lot of wrenches will be occupied there.

Best of luck on your swap. You certainly seem to know what you are doing so far. How many times does 2002 go into 1990? .994 times.
