First Championship event of 2019. We're about half-way through the season. Competition has been CRAZY in a lot of classes with the top 4-8 positions being mere tenths apart in some cases. Of course, you don't have to care about any of that. Just come out and drive yer car!
Registration is open, and nearly half full already. The registration deadline hasn't mattered much over the past few months. The event is likely to sell out long before that. If you want to attend, you should probably go register!
Registration & Event Info
Basic event details:
- This is a FAST Open autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
- Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
- Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers AND Guests. We can't let you in the gate if you're not registered.
- Driver entry fee is $40, guest entry fee is $9.
- This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8am-12pm or the Late Session 12:30pm-5pm, or both.
- Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

Unlikely I'll get my new tires on by then. Good news for S1 where there are two groups. +2 seconds and +.01 sec with less than perfect setups but very competitive all the same.

That 3rd place T shirt is going to be made of unobtainium against this level of competition. Wonder how S3 is doing? Seems to be dominated by GS cars which is sort of sad after the Mustang Era.

Here's another nice, long course. It's almost exactly the same course we ran last January on the COLDEST day of the year. Hopefully, it will be a bit warmer this weekend.

BTW, there have been some cancellations. There are now two openings in the Early Session, if you know anybody looking to get in.

I actually enjoyed that condensed map from a previous event. Handy visual reference when sitting in the grid two hours after walking the course.
Looks like new tires wouldn't be that much difference on this course - full tread might be slower? Thanks for letting me slide by for yet another event on worn rubber waiting for Michelin to get them made and shipped.
Weather should be awesome until after 4pm. 3 dry runs and LG for me. A lot of folks struggle for 1 clean run out of 6:)

Oh boy, you moved the cone over a little bit on the last set of cones to the finish. But you shortened the wall of cones prior to that a little bit also... Hmmmm, not sure which setup is going to be faster at the end, but I think tomorrows course will.

Weather is going to be super awesome. I won't have any new tires for God knows how long or what kind? Will resort to driving properly on bald burned out stock size RE-71 toddler (2 yr old) tires with unknown alignment and vague (Loren) tire pressures (rear TPMS quit). S0 Joe has new tires and a Joe precision alignment. I aim to be within 2 seconds with a passenger of Joe B. Loren in the "probable" turtle will be an also ran. See ya Saturday.

Corvettes aren't on my radar. There is enough good competition in M4!
