I've been autocrossing for well over 20 years, and this is one of the few times I recall where I felt like the competition was getting really fun not just to be a part of, but to WATCH! There's a lot going on in almost every class! And, of course, the Open events are more popular than ever. Register early!

Registration & Event Info

Basic event details:

• This is a FAST Open autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
• Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
• Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers AND Guests. We can't let you in the gate if you're not registered.
• Driver entry fee is $40, guest entry fee is $9.
• This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8am-12pm or the Late Session 12:30pm-5pm, or both.
• Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

It's so far away! Hurry up February and get out of the way!

With events going on Jan 23, Mar 3 and Mar 9... nothing seems very far away for me at all!

Realized this is the same day a group of us does the SPGP all day. So most likely between us there will be a couple morning spots open up.

I am going to sit this one out. The Z is getting a new clutch and other maintenance. I’m going to fix the clutch fluid leak and the gas leak...and figure out why my transmission stopped leaking! Hope to run the April event.

Unfortunately I'll have family in town for two weeks and will be missing this open event as well as Gymkhana.

April? We've got a February event and THREE March events to get through before thinking about that!

This events course map waiting room will have discussions on the following, no particular order(but #3 should be first).

1. Why raisin cookies shouldn't exist.
2. Why you shouldn't use super glue on the clutch mating surface to the flywheel(looking for Drew's input the most).
3. When the course map will be released.

Yeah, don't look for this course map early. I've only just started on it. Doing 3 back-to-back event weekends is rough!

As of a few hours ago, the CVT on Bluesight is longer C, V or T'ing. I may be looking for a co-drive. I have use of wheels/RE71R tires (205-50-15) that fit an NB (or earlier) Miata to offer. I'm in a '99 Miata up north...just sayin'...

I'm currently reg'd for all day, but that can be changed...

Status update...Insight is still definitely broken, but there actually might be a "quick" fix. But having it ready for the 9th is a long shot. In the meantime, thanks to Tim (vtbandit - morning) and Loren (afternoon) for setting up a full day of crazy fun. Looking forward to it...

Oh, and the course map is almost ready...

In the unlikely event anyone beats me in S1 in the afternoon session I will buy their dinner the following Monday at FAST Evening meeting. I'm good for it. Ask Loren.
