Falkens will give you the best bang for your buck.

Depends on whether you want to go with R-compounds or not. Most Hoosiers and Kumho V710s are exceptions) are suitable for short trips on the street.
If you want to stay with a harder-compound (and usually cheaper) street tire, Bob's probably right. There's lots of buzz about the Dunlops right now -- people are seeing as a Falken-beater -- but beyond results from a few national events, little hard information. Falken RT-615s are relatively sticky, and pretty sturdy as well -- I commuted on mine (80 miles/day) for a couple of weeks.

What size did you get? I tried ordering a set of 225/45/17 and they were out of stock and didn't expect to get any soon.

The Z1 Star Spec is better than the Azenis.
Azenis is the best bang for the buck in a 14" tire... almost the ONLY bang available in that size. But, for 15's... I think the Star Specs are easily worth $10-15 more per tire.
Azenis are good. Star Specs are better.

Glad I ordered the Star Specs for my new wheels this week since they are back ordered at least 1 month in 255/40/17
