so what rules dont apply to scca ? please be spcific
its for the s 2000. i would assume its no r compond tires like stock scca allows?
i am considering a new set of slicks and move to race tire 3.0 and under class what ever that will be,
it then will keep the car to a stock scca a stock specs
i think that will push me more to run faster, no excuses!

We're only cribbing from SCCA in order to classify stock, non-race-tire cars. That's the only SCCA rules that apply to FAST.
What counts as "modified" for FAST, can be found here:
http://wedrivefast.com/rules.cfm
(but ignore the stock Classing letters on that page - that's what we just changed, and it hasn't been updated yet).
A stock S2K is in SCCA class AS. For FAST, that means (new) class F. If you put race tires on it, it becomes FAST class C - stock, race tire, under 3 liters. If you modify it, according to FAST rules, you'd be in class E - modified, street tires, under 3 liters. IF you modify it, and use race tires, then you are in FAST class A.
So, if you keep the car completely stock, but use slicks, as you said you could run SCCA AS, and FAST C.
edit: I'm moving this post to the General section - Upcoming is usually for the next events.

This re-classing only applies to the old "G" class correct? If you weren't running in "G" in the past than this change shouldn't affect you.

We're not using the SCCA "rules" at all, our "production" class prep rules apply. We're only using the SCCA class lists to place cars in our new set of production classes. Used to be classes F and G, now classes F, G, H and J.
