We're still having fun playing with all the different possibilities at Venice. This month, we're aiming for a longer course, and also another practice element for you to play on during your non run/work group.

We're getting a lot of inquiries from folks in the Venice and Sarasota areas, so it's possible this event could sell out. Be sure to register early.

This is a Classic event, which means fewer entries, more runs and no formal novice instruction. We're allowing "some" novices and even a couple first-timers at Classic events now, but in very limited numbers. If you're one of those people, you might want to register earlier than usual.

We'll be providing lunch for all registered drivers and guests at this event.

Registration is open until November 27th, but could be filled before then. Y'all know what to do.

This event is at Venice, which is another restricted airport site, so pre-registration is required for ALL drivers and guests.

The Chalk festival is this weekend, so we will have some fresh new art to roll around on.

Back in my day, we didn't haaaave course maps. The event chairman threw a course together on-the-fly on event day... and we liked it!

Okay, here's the course map. Not unlike a Brooksville course, and a little like Dunnellon without all the surface changes. Bonus figure-8 practice course!

Don't anyone laugh...I remember events (not here) where a couple of us piled in the back of a truck with some cones, and the event chair would have us drop them out the back as he drove around the site.

The figure 8 looks like a good way to practice for the varying grip levels on that portion of the runway.

Yeah, it would be good for that. Or, just fun in general!

Based on what folks said about the practice course the last time we were at Venice, this should be a really fun course! I'm surprised more people aren't signed up.

I agree, we had a practice course last event and it was pretty fun. This will def be a fun one.

I have to take Shirley to Asheville for that weekend. That will get me out of the dog house. Will be at both Lakeland events in Dec. i agree the course looks really fun.

Registration closes Wednesday. Don't get all wrapped up in Thanksgiving and forget to register!
