2020 has proven to be a difficult year for getting events scheduled! As such, this is the only event we have for February. And, since we haven't had an Open event since December, well, this one sort of needs to be an Open to get some points into that season championship!

Registration & Event Info

Basic event details:

• This is a FAST Open autocross, that means that it is open to all licensed drivers.
• Novices and first-timers are encouraged to enter!
• Pre-registration is REQUIRED for all Drivers AND Guests.
• Driver entry fee is $47 (a bit more for Novices and First-Timers), guest entry fee is $10.
• This will be a split-format event. You can enter the Early session 8:30am-1:00pm or the Late Session 1:00pm-5:30pm, or both.
• Snacks and cold beverages will be provided for all registered drivers and guests.

I won't be able to make this one - outta town for Mom's 80th birthday party. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, they say...

Is this it, the best course layout of Venice we've seen yet? I think so.

Why are so many more people registering for the earlier session especially since it's a long drive for most people? And what does this do to the number of runs in each session?

Generally the same number of runs.

People often like the Early Session because it lets them get their autocross fix, and still have the afternoon free. Other folks like to sleep in and run later.

I'm going for all day...but I may be looking for some opportunities to share in the afternoon, especially if the driver count stays low. With likely one car on the course at a time, it should work for the Insight at 30+ cars (worked last time). Course looks like a blast...

I will be out of town for this one. Looks like I'll be missing a great course! Oh well, see y'all at the next event.
