So, its been nearly 4 years since this car has moved under its own power and I'm coming to the realization that I may never get around to changing this car from its current pitiful "very poor shelf" status. I'd really like to have it out of my garage as well as all the space the spares are taking up. Anyone with space and time want to adopt this project? I'd let it go for real cheap!
Currently the chassis is fine but the fully built Scat engine is seized, there are no holes in the block so its likely a bearing issue and could in theory be made running fairly cheaply and easily.
PM me for more details if interested...

A few years ago I asked les about this cool race car. He was very polite but accurate in suggesting I probably wouldn't fit in it
True. Much less chance today. A fun VW project that isn't a Miata cart and light enough to tow with Lorens pickup.

Light enough to tow behind the Mirage.
This thing is FTD waiting to happen. Someone should buy it.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

As Loren states, this car only weighs 900lbs with a full tank of gas, so with a light trailer it could be towed by most anything.

it's a formula vee (beetle chassis and aircooled motor), since you are after ftd, it's perfect for youCaptainSquirts wrote:Any pics/details? I have no idea what vehicle you're talking about.

This is the beast for those whom it predates. Sorry I just assumed most would remember it. I forget there are people who didn't autocross 4 years ago. LOL
