Hello FAST faithful!

As I’m sure many of you are now aware, Loren and Steve have made the difficult decision to retire from operating FAST. With their departure leaves some very large shoes to fill. The experienced and capable team of Ken Tuerff, Philip Petrie, and Ben Wheaton have stepped up to continue the mission that Loren and Steve started over a decade ago. That mission was to put on the best run and safest autocross events in the Tampa Bay area and FAST is still committed to that standard today.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, it means FAST isn’t going anywhere and will begin holding events very soon. As of now, the next event is scheduled for September 19th pending site approval. Stay tuned for more updates as they come!

Congrats Loren and Steve! The FAST events have always been extremely well run, safe, and very friendly. Congrats to Ken, Philip, and Ben. I am excited about new blood...maybe some new sites? New course designs? New classes?

Thanks to Loren and Steve for all the years of hard work! Thanks to the new team taking the reigns!

Looking forward to when I can get out to another event. It's been way too long and now the car is completely different so it will be an experience lol

Just found this...and I'm on my way back come Dec 1. For the years coming down to warmth and finding some great (also warm) AX with Loren, Steve and all at FAST...THANKS VERY MUCH. This time, plan is to bring down the Miata (Insight has found a new home). So already making the 20/21 calendar. I see AX buddies lists (the Ken, Philip and Ben) FAST events for Dec 5 (Venice Fairgrounds) and Dec 19 (Lakeland), but I saw other clubs saying Venice is closing down...so is it just Lakeland for Dec? (can't get there in time for the Nov 21 Lakeland "re-opener"). Anyone have luck with the reborn Badenton Motorsports Park. Looks like they still have the oval, though not sure they resurfaced it. Could make a great AX venue...

Looks like FAST Nov and Dec Lakeland events disappeared from Motorsportreg. Hope it's not a bad sign...??

The leadership team needs to communicate with the rest of the members and let them know what's going on. Good news, bad news, obstacles, strategy, even "nothing significant to report".... Dead silence gives a different meaning to "FAST isn't going anywhere."
