Vaccination Check-in and... 'sup?

Postby Loren » Mon May 17, 2021 1:36 am

So, COVID vaccines have been available for a good while now. Super-easy to get. Did you get yours yet? And what have you been up to?

Me? Yeah, I got vaccinated (Pfizer at Walgreen's) as early as I could. As a driving instructor, I work in a petri dish! With careless young people! Give. It. To. Me.

But, I've still not been doing anything. Working a lot. Playing with home and car projects a little bit. But, I've not been to an autocross since the last FAST one.

Kind of sort of thinking about maybe doing some kind of a casual dinner meeting or something at some point... hence this thread.

If I could be bothered to plan days off when needed, or figure out when anybody's holding an event, I might go to an autocross. Then again, my Miata has had a dead battery for 2 months, and has tires that are surely dead after nearly 2 years.

My anti-social side has actually been enjoying this break. I'm not sure if remember how to be social. If I ever did.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
