March 21 and 22 - 2-Day Extravaganza - SPC

The next event is two fun- and autocross-filled days at SPC, brought to you by co-chairs Carl and Kenny.
Saturday the 21st will be an endurocross. For those who have never enjoyed such an event, it involves multiple laps around the course per run, giving runs of 2-3 minutes as opposed to 30-60 seconds. Yes, fewer runs per day are likely, but overall seat time is lots more than a regular autocross, and it's a different and enjoyable experience to push it to the limit for the extended time! Saturday will not be a points event - just lots of fun.
Sunday will be a regular points autocross.
Price: $50 for both days. $30 for one.
We will not run the same course both days.
Saturday's entry limit is 50.
Registration will be opening soon - keep an eye on MAE, here, and the home web page.

Not sure if I can make both events, but the $10 discount for both days makes it a little easier to find time to do both. 8)

Registration is now open.
Each event is a separate entry, but for those entering both, there is a payment option with the Saturday event for the reduced entry fee -- make your combined payment there, and select the accompanying no-fee option when entering the Sunday event. We set it up this way to accomodate the differing entry caps, make sure we had good entry databases for each event, and to cut down on the pass-through fees the club pays for using online payment. We appreciate everyone's cooperation.

Thanks, Jamie
Here's linkage:
Saturday's event
Sunday's event
As Jamie said, wanna come just one day, pick the day and sign up. Wanna come both days? You must sign up for each day individually, but the combined payment is on the Saturday registration page!
This is gonna be a great weekend - don't wait to sign up!

Carl put me in charge of lunch for Saturday, so I'm going to try to find something other than pizza.

Ask Steve about that good local BBQ place that he had delivered. (I need more Mustard sauce anyhow 8) )

I'll take care of lunch for one of the days - Cuban - some sammiches and either roast pork or Ropa Vieja or something, with fixins'.
Kenny, if you want, I have some other ideas - email me if you'd like.

Hmm...Tuesday evening, and no one's signed up for either event! I'm surprised. If people are having problems, shoot a note to
info@wedrivefast.com and let me know.

Just noticed on the MAE site for the enduro the "we usually get 5-7 runs" quote is still listed which I'm sure isn't going to happen at this event.
3-4 runs seem to be the norm for events like this one.
Not a big deal but someone might get the wrong idea.....
Pass on Saturday, I'll probably sign-up for Sunday....

Fixed. Thanks.

You'd go to the crappy pavement at Deland rather than a FAST event? For shame...!

Besides, this one will be a freebie for you...neither Sam nor I will be there to contest the class.

Patience, guys. The event is 3 weeks away, and pre-reg isn't required, so a lot of people may wait a bit before registering.

You have to remember that one "enduro run" is like running 2 or 3 at once. We should be able to do three runs. 2ยข

We were able to get 4 runs in on a 3 minute course (IIRC) at Brooksville. This course will probably be in the low 2 minute range, and I'm thinking we should be able to get 4. Plus, we don't have to take down the course all the way, so it may allow us to run later into the day, and still allow everyone to get out at a good time.

As long as everything goes smoothly in the morning and the first car starts earlier than lunch, 4 oughta be an absolute minimum. There should be a lot of seat time, for an autocross, as this event.
Speaking of getting things going, are the event co-chairs gonna cut and paste in a volunteer list anytime soon? I'll do registration...
