Southeast Divisional Championship

First weekend in August at South Georgia Motorsport Park in south Georgia, about 3 1/2 hours from Tampa. This is a very well run event on a large asphalt lot. Competition should be less than a typical national event but still good. Because of low turnout at the other Southeast Division events this will be a winner take all event to determine the SCCA Southeast Division Champions. Hotels are close by and reasonably priced as are restaurants. There was a national event there in the spring and the grip was good for asphalt, much better than SPC, not as good as Brookesville. Last years winners got plaques and fleece jackets. This is a great opportunity to get some experience outside our little world and still be pretty low pressure. Nothing in it for me, but the guy who runs the event does a great job, designs good courses, and I would like to see him get a great turnout for all the work he has done. register at http://www.sedivsolo2.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks for the heads up on this one.

I'd like to venture out of "our little world" too but the car won't be ready for this one.

When you actually map it out, it doesn't look like that site is really ridiculously far away either.

Looks like this event is it for the year though... :?

Questions:

1. Is there a class for modified shifter karts?

2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, then.... Wheeler- do you have extra room in the trailer for a kart?

Let me know!

Thanks

John

We can probably figure something out. I need to see if we can tie it down secure. You would need to get the Kart to my house by next Thursday eve. for fitment tests!

Are you folks that are coming going to be camping out? Also, anyone know if there is electrical hook up in the camping area?
