A customer of mine came in asking about a CVT oil change.. apparently in her Nissan it's a required service @ 30,000 miles. No big deal, however The Dealer wanted >$30/litre for the CVT fluid. and since almost all Nissan automatics are CVT I went on a search to find NS-2 compatible fluid. and found this is pretty common among the car companies. so I found Eneos (by Nippon oil) makes a suitable replacement for most CVT's

So for $9.99/litre 1/3 of what the dealer wanted we were able to knock down the cost of the Service significantly with labor included.
be warned since CVT's are becoming so commonplace and despite a 60,000 drive-train warranty on Nissan cars and SUV's you MUST service the CVT at 30,000 to keep this in effect. I checked with alldata and except for a few JDM RWD sedans which use a cool Toroidal CVT. all USDM Nissan's can use this fluid.
I'm not sure what the CVT Schedule is on Toyota (Prius) or other cars utilizing a CVT, however the interval should be similar.
