Dan and Nick are chairing this one.
Registration will be open in about a week.

SPC has nifty new tarmac - it's mighty fine, and nowhere near as slick as the old surface. You gotta come check it out...

"Ladies and gentlemen, here for your autocrossing enjoyment, The Pretty Voices" ...and the crowd goes wild...

edit: hmmm...they need a good driving song in their set...

I've been trying to get some new blood in the safety program for at least 3 years now... I know I've given "initial training" to at least 3-4 people in that time. It's time we started moving forward from there.

Someone who's had some initial safety training (read all the safety materials, done some safety course walks, etc) and has at least a year of autocross experience under their belt, go ahead and sign up to do safety for this event and I will shadow you through the process. If we do this for a 2-3 events and you demonstrate proficiency in the "art" of safety, you should be fully qualified to take this position on your own in the future.

So, get on it, somebody!

And Dan/Nick, you're working on your first draft of the course map, right?

Maybe they are rehearsing a lunchtime concert.

Would be awesome... but Steve should probably get permission from SPC if we want to do anything like that. (they don't even want us using the PA normally...)

I'm here! :D

I don't even know if Nick is registered on the forum. . .

I thought it might be fun to see if we can dig up as many folks who haven't been out in a year + as possible! Who has info for OGs? Sound like a fun idea? Dumb idea?

Also, maybe a year ago we tried a new pizza place that was just fantastic. IIRC it was off Central, maybe on the South Side? Anyhow, the whole reason I agreed to chair was so I could get more of that pizza. Anyone remember the place I'm talking about?

I think you could go places with that idea. Perhaps offer a prize for FTD (autographed Pretty Voices poster?), but give a .2 second bonus for every month since the driver's last event?

Paulo's. It's on Central around 64th St. or so. Good stuff...

Alright - time to tap the brain trust!

I want a list of names from those of you who've been around for a while - looking to dig up some OLD folks! Anyone who hasn't been out for a while & needs a good excuse. . .

We have Points tables that go back to 2007. Probably the easiest to just peruse those - can not only see who came out, but who was a "regular."
