What? No Post-Event thread yet?
Slackers. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_42
Great event! Really good course with the added pointers.
Thanks for letting me beat on the Subie, Rydell!

No problem. If I could have only put all your pointers into one run, you wouldn't have beat me.

I have to give props to Steve. He spotted something I was doing that wasn't working well in your car. (also just a general bad habit I have of using the left foot to brake too much) Lifting in a couple places rather than stabbing the brake and upsetting the suspension smoothed me out a lot in the Subaru.
Youdaman, Steve!
Oh, and the Yaris handled well on it's "mostly stock" suspension. (52.1 on my second run) Look out J-class!

Great course and great event.
And thanks to Steve for making me competitive. Unfortunately for him, that means he has to ride in my car every event now
I definately need to learn how to drive that car with those tires and that suspension.. it understeered too much for me. I did enjoy the oversteer it occasionally provided though

Great event. I never really put together a run I was 100% happy with, but It turned out okay in the end.
The battle in J was intense. Adam Parke took J by 1/1000th of a second, congratulations.
Keith Pecha, awesome driving out there. Having the sticky Kumho XS tires in the rear seemed to really tame the oversteer your car normally has and provide a great balance.
Steven Frank, congratulations on being the first to break into the 40's, that was some driving. I guess the imaginary rivalry in my head is non existent, for now.......
See you all next month at SPC. If you're not registered, get registered.

Loren, you have mail.........not sure about the accuracy of Tim's recorded time in the S2k judging from the previous times, can anyone confirm or deny? It looks like maybe Wheeler's last time got swapped with Tim's?

Thanks for the event! It was almost better than sex. Note, I did say almost. It was certainly just as hot (100 degrees on the tarmac). Yellow_Colorz_PDT_04
Didn't set any records, but did a lot better than the last time. Gotta get rid of those Bridgestones on the front. They just don't grip like the Hankooks.
Coming back slowly, but it is coming back to me.

Thanks everyone for helping me out. Had an awsome day. new tires and more track time will help me even more. My right front tire is wasted. My car has a mean push. See you all at SPC next month! Also any info on a good autocross tire for my car would help....i need to buy soon! 275/40/20 at all four corners is what i would like to run.

That was a great event. I love autocrossing. It's a wonderful stress reliever and seeing everyone out again was just freaking awesome. Hopefully I'll be seeing everyone again in May!

RESULTS BY TIME
RESULTS BY CLASS
Thanks, Charles, for getting the results out quickly, and to me, for continuing a totally kick-a$$ birthday autocross by getting them posted quickly! Yellow_Colorz_PDT_04
Congrats, Charles, also for FTD! And Chris, I heard you wrapped up the class G championship today - well done!
Wowie, what a day! Alexis, you put together one heckuva course and you and Jamie ran one smooth event! You're both hired! I had a blast giving and getting rides. I had a great day today - musta been the shirt...now if I can only do it again next month 8)

I totally agree, except one part:
YOU are the awesome.

I shouldn't speak to soon. I have G wrapped up if I place 1st or 2nd the next 3 events. If I place 3rd in just 1 event and Chuck wins all 3, he'll get me. Either way it's by default and I don't count it. If I can beat Chuck for just one event, I'll feel better about it. If I can't, it just wont feel right. I'll have won based on attendance and will gladly give Chuck 1st place, since he rightfully deserves it. I feel there's no honor in winning the way it's currently happening and I wouldn't be able to accept the 1st place award.

Noble, but rules are rules. And attending the events COUNTS!
We allow for drivers to miss two events (lowest two event scores are dropped). If you show up and the other guy doesn't, YOU WIN, and you deserve to win.
Save such nobility for the one-time "non-season-championship" events, like the BattleX or EnduroCross. 8) (Even then, you can't win if you don't show up! But, you may have the option of forfeiting a win to an opponent who cones out if you really feel they are "the faster driver".)
But, at the end of the day today, YOU were faster than every other driver in your class (and there were a bunch of them). You deserve the season points that go with that win. To say "I'd have come in second if someone else were there" is something that ALL of us could say... we just don't all know who that person is!

I think you are correct. I did not see a 51.679 crossing the line, but it is showing up in my results.
PS GREAT event. Really enjoyed the course Alexis, fantastic job! And, thanks for the ride along driving instruction Loren. Owe you a run next time!

RJSRT8- There aren't any sticky tires in that size. There's actually more truck and SUV tires than passenger car tires in that size. You need to fix the understeer issue first anyways. If you don't, you'll just end up eating up sticky tires. You need more negative camber out of the front so your car doesn't kill the tires when it understeers, plus it'll make the car understeer less with more negative camber. You need to get an alignment done. If you find out that your negative camber is maxed out. You need a camber kit with either crash bolts or eccentric bushings. If no one makes a camber kit than the only way to get more negative camber will be to lower the car. In terms of sticky tires. You'd have to drop down to 19's to get good grippy tires like the BridgestoneRE-11, Yokohama AD08, or Kumho XS and 18's for the Dunlop Direza Z1 Star Specs. Either way it wont be cheap. Good luck.

Also, for anyone that I was trying to explain car placement to today. Please watch Jeremy's video for where he is placing the car prior to each cone and when he starts to turn in to get around it. That's what I was talking about.

It's gotta be a strut car, in which case lowering does nothing. Not everyone has awesome suspension like us.
They make these in his size. I have heard good reviews about a year ago.

Before you get too crazy spending money, spend some more time learning the car. With a car like that, understeer is something you're going to have to learn to live with to some extent. Learn to drive within the performance envelope that is available at any given time.
