I loved the course. I nominate Chris for perma-chair. He told me today how much he loves being the event chairman.

A wee bit indeed...I took a lesson from the dog when I got home and stretched out on the cool tile floor!

Pretty funny site leaving the course -- everyone by the trailer took off, and right in the middle of the runway was a full bag of garbage. Found it does fit in the front seat of a Miata....

Bummer, sounds like I missed a doozy.
The videos were great - thanks for doing that Jeremy!
I particularly liked the one of Chris - exemplary job of looking ahead: head turns, steering wheel follows, repeat. And Adam was right on top of those cones. Nice.

As far as I know, July needs a chair - y'all keep bugging Chris, or maybe he'd co-chair with someone and share his awesomeness?

I had a great time today! Big ups to event chair and everybody else that made it happen. Good times! Edit to say I really dug the course! More, please.

Thanks for the nice comments. I actually won't be chairing any more events. I'm taking a 4 year break while I go back to school to become a CPA hopefully. I'll be working full time and going to school full time, which means no time to chair events.

Chairing events is a great gig, seriously! Someone, please step up and chair July!

It was a fun, insanely hot day. I want to thank everyone that helped out, especially the guys that stayed and helped load the trailer.

The course was interesting, if I do say so myself. When I drew the course I originally had some off the offsets more extreme, which would've made you slow down a bit more. I decided to open it up and make it more deceptive, in my opinion. This course was all about the driving line and setting up for corners. Certain things look like they can be taken on a given line, which they could, but it wasn't the fastest line, by FAR! If the proper line was taken, the course was insanely quick, with good flow and very little braking except in a few key spots. If the proper line wasn't taken there was a huge price to pay. The evidence will be seen in the results. From less experienced guys to really experienced guys. The times dropped a lot as the course was figured out. Chuck Ray dropped almost 3 seconds from his first to last run. Normally chuck gets faster by about 2 seconds, but today the drop was larger. Evan Warner dropped a lot and broke into the 46's if I recall correctly. Super long story short. It was about placement today more than anything else. Although having a lot of bravery comes in at a close second. If you were able to floor it after the cones with the lay downs on the way back, all the way through the finish (It was possible if you were in a car with not to much power), you were brave. That was no easy task, but was insanely fun!

I'll see you in July at SPC!

Chris, enjoyed the course. Thanks for making sure there was a green pepper pizza for lunch that I could help demolish. Jeremy, I wish I had asked you to film one of my runs. I hope everybody stayed hydrated as much as they could. I've had 2 Gatorades since I got home and just keep drinking water.

Results!

Congrats to Chuck for having the fastest street tire time! Good game everybody.

That is GREAT NEWS Chris! (not the not chairing part... The back to school/CPA part!) Best of luck with that plan. No doubt you will make it happen.

Thanks for the vids Jeremy. I think your camera makes people lose control of their car. In almost all of the vids, people lose control.

Jill liked what was left of that pizza, too.
Jeremy, I wish I had asked you to film one of my runs.
Why...you wanted to lose control? :)

Jamie, thanks for letting me drive your car. It reminded me of what is so wonderful about a Miata. It also taught me what is so wonderful about race rubber.

Oops! Not sure how that happened. Three of us agreed to each take a bag of trash and I have mine. I guess I didn't look back as I was driving away.

Sorry you were stuck with it.
