Bill, did the trailer feel better on the way back?
The tires were down to 25 psi. We put 40 in them, not sure what the ideal psi would be.

I threw out a bunch of garbage from the trailer and the bins. Still some stuff we need to decide if we need to keep.

The trailer towed much better at 40psi. Thanks!

Probably suppose to be @ 50psi cold, anyone else in for a trailer maintenance day at some point soon?

Brian and I were talking about that a while back. And Drew and I were talking about it more recently. Talk is cheap

It'd be a good idea. I'd be up for it, but it'd be great if someone would spearhead it and make it happen.

I'm in for helping out. I say we plan a date, once the August Mega Award Ceremony Banquet is setup.

Now that the awards event is setup, who all wants to meet up on the 14th or 15th to handle trailer duties?

I'll be there. It is in my own best interest!

So are we on for next weekend? What's best for those wanting to help out, saturday or sunday? It'd be better for me either Saturday afternoon, or Sunday morning. Hope to be putting some finishing touches on the truck saturday so I can possibly start helping with trailer duties. Will have to give the ole truck a test run when we get the overhaul on the trailer done.

There's a snowball's chance I might be able to show up for an hour or two (no promises - might be out of town, too).
Where, and what day and time?
I've collected lots of ideas from speaking to folks - and many folks have the same ideas...shelves, custom-sized bins, marks on floors to direct loading, etc...

Steven, if you want to send me your notes, that would be cool in case you don't make it. Say, where is this said trailer we are all talking about?

I can probably come help. Post up a reminder with specifics a couple days before.

Somebody should check with Howard and be sure he doesn't have any conflict. He doesn't need to be there, but I don't know if he's put a lock on his barn or if his wife is throwing a party that weekend, or whatever.

send you my notes - lol - that's a good one!

Let me create some notes, and I'll be happy to forward them. Or maybe just post 'em here so all can enjoy...I'll get on it the next day or 2.

oh, does anyone (Charles) recall - when we purchased this trailer, did we, or did we not, replace the tires? I vaguely recall we did...

I vaguely remember the same :? , I probably would have given you a receipt for that?

We can inspect them closer, as long as they don't look dry-rotted and we can get the spare mounted OUTSIDE the trailer we should be ok.

Since the trailer is stored inside and out of the UV the tires should last much much longer.

The tires looked ok, but it looks like they were low on air for a while, they are more worn on the outside edges than the middle.

Two "vaguelies' is a definite. I found the receipt, I was just trying to avoid the hunt. We (you) bought two new tires, premounted, in June of 2008. If we're ruining them, well, dammit. Dare I suggest that we add to trailer towing, or loading, or unloading job assignments, an air pressure check each month?

just run too much pressure for a few months to even out the wear. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_08

So has anyone confirmed with Howard that we are a go this weekend?

I just sent him an email. Maybe he'll get it...I'll let you know if I hear back from him. Or maybe he'll post here.

Howard's down with it.
Proceed.

Has a day/time been chosen?
