Car-whoring is popular these days.

Here's what Ed and I counted after the last event as far as supplies go.

84 cans Pepsi
24 cans Coke
12 cans Mt Dew
12 cans Assorted Diet Sodas
1 Case of Water

We are also completely out of paper plates.
Racing... because golf only requires one ball.

We're out of marble dust (chalk), too. The next two events are at SPC, plus one more later in the year. 4 bags would cover us for a good long while if someone wants to grab 'em. (or at least 2 bags to get us through the next two events)

True, but I tend not to do so..

With my work schedule next month I may not be around for that weekend anyways. :(

When you register, put that down as your first work assignment choice and Jamie will add you to the list if he can.

Registration should be open later this evening.

Unlike Jeremy, who's driving skills are clearly of alien origin, Jamie is human.

I just went in and un-jacked the reg-open date. Enjoy.

I'm registered as well :D
It's my first time with you guys driving, I've been @ SPC ones before but I just came as a Visitor with Jim Reid.
So this will be fun (or a total disaster)

I do have one question tho, I will be driving my stock '97 Grand Marquis and i have no idea in what car class I am........
I've put myself in the "J" category, is that right?

And, do you have already somebody for the trailer? Where is it located? I have a class 3 trailer hitch with a 2" ball, so I would volunteer to tow it. Let me know...

Thanks Paul

Welcome, Paul! Trailer-duty is ambitious for a first event, but if none of the usual suspects pipe up, we might take you up on that. Somebody would have to escort you to where it's stored, you'd never find it.

Not sure what class the MGM is in. Probably not J, not that it matters much. I don't think it's specifically classed, but pretty much anything with a V8 ends up in G. I think you're okay in J, though.

I can get it, 2 or 4 bags ??
Racing against my NEON is like getting in a fight with a girl, if you win you, you can't brag about it, and if you lose, you hope nobody finds out!

Paul,

I've autocrossed my 94 MGM before. It's a G class car, but I doubt anyone will complain if you are in J, unless you win :)

Thanks guys, for the quick reply.
So I will just leave me in the "J" category.......

@Lauren: As I said if you can't find anyone for the trailer, just let me know....

@Dave-ROR: I don't think that I will win, I mean I do will try my best to do so.......
Since you Crossed your MGM before, do you have any advice for me in the preparation of my car?
Thanks alot

Most of the actual course setup is done using SPC cones, and Ron's bringing the timing equipment. So... we could probably get away with 8:30. That would give us plenty of time to unload it and have things like the chalk spreader ready to mark the course, get the timing displays setup and such.

That's course setup... not sure if tech needs their box before that.

Doesn't need to be there super-early for SPC events, though. 7:30-8:00 would be very comfortable.

Not really.. I ran 17x8 Cobra wheels with 225-50-17 front and 255-45-17 rear tires with a big rear sway bar and Bilsteins... stock otherwise. It was fun, except when my power steering couldn't keep up..
