Class my car

1992 Nissan 240sx with turbo engine swap on street tires.
Car starts in E3 and then bumps to E2 because of the engine swap, right?
Only problem would be if someone could prove that a Nissan Silvia would be an ASP/BSP car, then I would have to bump to E1 for donor car engine.
So... E1 or E2. What's my class for next season?

A Nissan Silvia won't ever appear classed within SCCA SP classes, because they only include U.S.-market cars (read the front of the rules). And it doesn't matter -- go off the list posted at

What Jamie said on the Silvia. Doesn't exist on the US market, so will never appear in SCCA SP classifications, which are the basis of our mod classes. So, you start in E3...
These are the relevant bump rules:
- Bump up one class for adding forced induction
- Bump to donor class OR up one class (whichever is higher) for a significant (+25% HP increase) engine swap that is not a common bolt-in swap that results in a factory-available (US market) configuration
So, you're claiming an engine swap. Does it give you 25% HP increase? If not, then no bump.
Did the car have a turbo from the factory (the US-trim version that your classing is based on)? If not, does your replacement engine include a turbo? If you've added turbo, there is potential for a second class-bump.
I'm going to guess that your engine swap nets more than 25% HP, which would put you into E2. And I'm going to guess that the swap added a turbo, which would then put you into E1.
That's my take, based on some guesses. Not enough information was supplied.

Looks like just a straight motor swap without the turbo would not be a 25% increase.

I was thinking of going up to E1 to be with Chuck, Kyle, Jack, and Ron. I would like to be in the same class as you. Drive in E1 with me next season.
