Trailer cleaning party!!!!

I'm placing this as an Upcoming Event because...
1. It is.
2. This needs to occur before our next race event at Brooksville.
3. I want people to see this.
(If this needs to be moved, I'm sure that the powers that be will do so.)
YOU'RE ALL INVITED TO A FUN FILLED TRAILER CLEANING PARTY!!!!
We need a few volunteers (4 to 6) to help clean and organize the trailer. The last event left things wet with the possibility of mold growth. There is also complete disorganization that has mounted over time. Coolers need to be cleaned, Helmets cleaned and disinfected, boxes reorganized, etc, etc, etc.. I figure all this won't take us more than 2 hours. (Time will drop as more volunteer)
DATE: June 4, 2011
TIME: 9 am
LOCATION: Largo. Will meet at the corner of Belcher and East Bay, Harbor Fright parking lot, then caravan to the secret location where it is kept!
WHO:
1. Loren
2. Joe
3. David
4. Ed
5. Eric
6.
Anyone with any organizational ideas that you think we should address, please speak up. Anyone willing to attend please R.S.V.P. on this thread.
A GREAT TIME WILL BE HAD BY ALL THAT ATTEND!!!

Thanks Eva, we just might do it sooner so the mold won't have as much time to set in. Keep watch on the thread and see what Loren may change.

I have to work that day, but it shouldn't be to bad as long as the trailer was put back into the barn before it rained again. We dried the helmets pretty good and left the lids off the bins, plus I brought home all the safety vest and flags and washed and dried them. So for those who go, I thank you in advance and the job shouldn't take to long.

Easiest location is where the trailer is: Howard's place in Largo/Clearwater. Rather than try to post directions to a notoriously hard-to-find place, we should probably plan on meeting somewhere else and driving over as a group. East Bay & Belcher is the nearest intersection.
This usually doesn't take more than about 2 hours if enough people show up. Unload the trailer, sweep it out, clean stuff, fix a few things, reload the trailer.

Can you make sure that you get them to Loren or myself before the 4th. Then you won't have to remember them for Brooksville.

Anybody else available? We don't need the whole club, but a few more hands would be good... and we may also need someone with a tow vehicle to move the trailer depending on how it's parked.
Also, if anyone has any known issues with the trailer or equipment, it would be good to have a list of those things before we start.

Can't be there but keep in mind while organizing that we now have 2 10X10 pop-up canopies to be stored in there. they are about 4 feet long and about 1 foot square. Also six additional large umbrellas for worker comfort. Because we care.

Not sure I can get them to you guys by the time you do the trailer clean up, but I've already have them in the trunk of my 240, so they will not be forgotten.

Nothing you can really "fix" but we should probably replace the tires soon-ish since monsoon season is quickly approaching.
It looks like they wore horribly because they were never kept at the right air pressure. We'll have to keep an eye on that with the new set.

When I towed to Brooksville I check the pressures, they were always low. I'll be taking it to my house friday eve so ill check them again. Of course, I guess that could also be done during the "party" since Howard has a most excellently equipped garage (if the power is on).
I think I can make it also, Ill have the truck so we can pull it out of the garage. 8' wide trailer, 10' wide garage makes it tight to work around.

Thanks Drew. We'll make sure there's room for them.

I've got a good used tire joint if we want to go that route with the trailer tires. I can run by there on the way home one day this week and get the tire sizes to check availability.
Also count me in for trailer duty. Will have to jet by 11am though.

I'm pretty sure we want new tires for the trailer. If we don't let them get underinflated, we can expect 3-5 years out of them before they start getting too weathered. If we buy used tires, they'll already be 2-3 years old and will have that much less useful life to us.
We rely on volunteers to tow the trailer, the last thing we need is to make it an "iffy" proposition by cutting corners on tires. We'll put the old trailer tires officially "on-watch" and when we feel it's time (probably later this year), we'll buy new ones. Not a big deal.
