June 13th - Brooksville

Postby Native » Sat May 16, 2009 7:20 pm

June we're going to Brooksville. Jack (Fast 5 Racing) and Carl (Agent) will be your courteous and friendly Events Chairs. I imagine they'll be looking for volunteers - so go ahead and beat 'em to it. I'll start - put me down for registration! :P

Don't let the talk of speed scare you. Our insurance AND the powers that be at Brooksville limit our speeds to 60 mph, and that's for the FASTEST cars.

Events at Brooksville really aren't much faster than events at SPC, the courses just have a different style because there is much more space (length) to work with. You'll learn to like slaloms at Brooksville.

Mark me for AM setup as usual, Timing/trailer setup or course setup, doesn't matter, I'm always there early.

Someone needs to add our event job assignment template thingee to this thread.

Steve, can you confirm with the airport that Friday night trailer delivery is doable ?

Jamie, can we run Class D in the morning/first?

Brooksville said it's fine to drop off the trailer Friday evening. They did remind that the motorcycle school would be in session then.

Thanks,

They won't be by the time I get there unless they ride in the dark. :D

Not that it's too difficult to move with a few people, but can someone let me know where exactly to dump it on the runway? I've never paid any attention to where it normally sits in reference to the green box on the porta-potty side.
