I can help with all but the walk through. Honestly I get basically nothing from walking the course besides "ok this part looks confusing, must remember to go right here...".

But whatever is fine with me, setup, reg, tech, cleanup (although thats barely a job at brooksville..), novice helper, etc.. just let me know what I need to do.

Is the new role an evolution of the "find this guy in this run group if you are a novice. he'll go on ride alongs with you." this we did at brooksville before?

In part, yeah. Trying to make the whole process a bit more streamlined for us, and a bit more user-friendly for novices.

No, really... it's a lot more than that. You generally can't get away with telling the novices "go see this guy if you need help", most of them won't do it. The novice coordinator needs to actively seek out the first-timers, coordinate ride-alongs for them before they take their first run, ride with them or find someone to ride with them for their first run or two and more if they need or want it. Also be available for anyone else to needs assistance. Done properly, it's a pretty "busy" job.

It had better be. The increasing number of "specials" exempted from other work assignments means the run groups are getting larger in order to provide a minimum number of people to work the course...larger groups take longer to run, so longer work shifts out in the heat.

No...listening to AM radio on the ADF during cross-country flights shows my age.... :)

I fully expect to have my ass handed to my by Brian Bode. But, as long as I beat my co-driver, it's all good. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_01

Yo Steve! Did I see you at Pepin yesterday? I thought I may have seen you so I looked for a little Miata...you know...just to make sure there wasn't any extra nails, knife puncture wounds, etc. in those precious new tires of yours...you know, for safety reasons. Unfortunately, all I found was blue Subie. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_06
