How can I forget there is a 60 per limit-it comes up on each Brooksville planning thread. :D

Most know I only drive in first gear and that equates to 60 mph max...besides the last time I hit 60, it resulted in a spin! (at Brooksville too)

Besides if I wanted to go faster, Sebring or even Bradenton would be a better venue, right Loren? :P

You can always hit 60+ mph on the way to the event area when going through the RV camping area..................... kidding of course. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_08

Hey guys, I am not sure if you guys remember me but I had that misfiring issue at the last autocross but I finally got my car fixed and wanted to register in advance since I know this event requires some planning and now I know better. Just a noob question I have, where do I register?

atm, I am planning on doing both days hopefully and I should be able to helpout as well with whatever you guys need help with so whoever is incharge, can you please put me down for some work and let me know where to register, I will appreciate it.
Thank you and looking forward to another autocross with you guys, I had a blast last time....althought the car issues were annoying but I am sure I will have more fun this time iA hopefully :)

Edit: The main link on wedrivefast.com is not working for some reason:

When in doubt, go to the website:
http://wedrivefast.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There's always a link to event registration there, along with other info about upcoming events.

What are the motel/camping options like for Brooksville? I've never done a two-day event, but this looks like fun. As long as I get my car back from the body shop in time, I'd like to go (it's been way too long since I've done this!).

Brooksville is only an hour drive from Tampa... are you coming from somewhere else?

Yeah, I moved from there after my Civic was stolen. I'm living in St. Pete now. Not far from the SPC site, actually.

I'm coming from Clearwater and will just drive up each day. It's just a little over an hour up the Vet. Just don't forget your sunpass.

Sunpass is a pre-paid transponder you put in your car that lets you basically "cruise" through the toll booths; it deducts the toll from your pre paid balance. It saves a ton of time compared to having to stop and pay tolls at the booth; it really comes in handy on the way from St. Pete to Brooksville if you drive on the Veterans Expy/ Suncoast Expy; which coming from St. Pete is the best way to go. I live off of 38th Ave N and I-275 in St. Pete and it's pretty much a 1 hour drive from driveway to Brooksville Airport. :)

You can buy a Sunpass at any Publix, I think they're $25 plus whatever amount you put on your account.

EDIT: I see Publix has them for $4.99 now. :P

S2K_MoZo- You posted that you are registered and paid for both days, but when I checked the entry list you are only registered for saturday. Please check your receipt and confirmation notice. The receipt should be in the amount of 50.00 if you registered for both days. If you did and there's an error, then you need to contact Steven Frank I believe so he can fix it.

Jaime or Steven- A novice with a 2008 Porsche, Jean-Phillipe Merminod, registered in G and he should be in F please make the correction.

Hi Chris, thanks for the information and yes I paid $50 total and I have the email confirmation from paypal saying that I paid $50 for both days. I will forward that email to Steven Frank.
Thank you.

For all - to sign up for both days, you must register for both days separately. You pay for both on the Saturday page, and on the Sunday page there is a payment option for "both" days that has zero cost.

The directions are in the text on the MAE page if what I've typed above isn't clear.

S2K Mo Zo - pm sent.

Chris, will fix the Porsche entry - thanks for catching it (or are you afraid of a little Porsche action? ).

Brian etc, the $4.99 sunpass is a sticker that is not removeable, as opposed to the actual transponder box that is - just FYI.

Well I had planned to work on the car last week, but woke up to the lawn guy ringing the door bell after he broke the main feed (pvc pipe) into the house, so instead I got the pleasure of dealing with that BS.. then didn't feel like doing anything else until my game that night.

Maybe this weekend, but I really need to change the oil in the MGM too, well the filter anyways, the oil kinda self changes through the combustion chamber :P

Still have a small leak on the main water feed too, need to get some plumbers putty and use that on the threaded PVC pieces, teflon tape isn't holding up and I don't want to go tighten the PVC more for fear of breaking the short piece that goes into the house above the new value :(

Most likely I'll get to it the weekend after, which is after reg closes :(

It's not the right way to go about it, but sometimes a good smear of pvc glue will melt enough plastic together to seal up a small leak - if it's easier...

You're not alone in your home maintenance woes, but that's another thread.
