Tire Replacement

Postby shakedown067 » Sun Sep 13, 2009 2:40 pm

Anyone have a good recommendation for a tire shop in Clearwater? Or if they do saturday installs I'm willing to go anywhere in the Tampa Bay area for a good deal.

Not exactly Clearwater, but I've had good service at Rick Stroud Auto in St. Pete. 547-1911 Kumho and Falken seem to be their main brands, but they've been willing to try to order whatever. I'm not sure about weekend hours.

Call Jeff Loyd at 1ST Place Automotive Engineering (813) 333-1100 or 1-609-290-6221. I got my Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs from him and he can come to you to mount them.

Damn, saw Jeff's info after I ordered up my rubber. Got Michelin's from Tire Rack and had Craig at Pit Crew Mobile Tire Store install them. Great guy, a tad pricey, but totally worth it. Nitrogen air and a killer setup for on site installs.

I got my vetted bagged. LOL.

Wow, that was quick and talk about service.

I always find myself toting two wheels and two tires at a time 0700 Saturday mornings...this would be a time saver for sure!

A little offtopic and sorry for jacking the thread but I am new in FL and had to ask this question. Do you get hookups on tires at all?
Back in Dallas we have a guy who can get us wholesale prices for most of the tire brands. I just ordered new rears from Tirerack and almost cried what the price was comparing to what I used to pay in Dallas :(
btw, I got Direzza Star Specs. If you know anyone who can get us better deal than Tirerack please let me know.
Thanks.

and yeah :backtotopic:

Call Jeff. Pricing changes all the time. I don't want to say he's cheaper just for you to call and then he's more, because his vendor raised his price. Normally Jeff meats or BEATS tirerack's price.
