This event will go a lot better if someone were to chair it. Who's up for the glory?

Between upcoming travel and school finals, I'll be pretty distracted from Thanksgiving on, but I can back someone up if need be.

Re: Dec 12 - Brooksville - EVENT CHAIR NEEDED SOON

Postby nc4me » Sun Nov 15, 2009 8:12 pm

I just signed up.

I just chaired the november event and I must say it is a lot of fun. Yes, it is a little more work than just doing tech or setup, but it's worth it. I was worried about designing the course and at first I told Loren to just do it, but the next day all these ideas just started popping into my head and I couldn't wait to put them on paper. Whether your hesitant because of designing the course( you can have someone design it for you) or you are worried about the event running smoothly. Don't worry. There are plenty of people who know what they're doing and will help you along the way. So if you've been thinking about chairing an event, just do it. It's pretty fun and it'll be easier than you think.

This public service announcement has been brought to you by nc4me and was written with funds provided by nc4me. I would like to thank nc4me for contributing to this forum and making this announcment possible. Thank me.

I'm on the fence about chairing this event. Have a neat idea... (famous last words: "Hang on, I want to try something!")

Gimme a solid co-chair. No experience required.

I'm in for Co-Chair! Let's kick this pig. Only thing, I'll be out the week of thanksgiving, but I'll be able to check the board if need be. Going to register now.

I'm gonna take advantage of Jamie's services on worker position management. Just put your worker request in your registration and Jamie will handle it.

Thanks, Rob.

PS: If you're effectively volunteering for more than one position, go ahead and list them both... that goes for everyone. Why? Because I'm gonna need the extra people in the course worker pool for this one. More later...

Was gonna co-drive with Rydell in his Subaru at this event, but he's decided to go chase snow, or visit family or something instead. So, I'm seeking a co-drive for this event if anyone's interested. If not, I'll just drive the trusty Yaris. 8)

There is a possibility that Willemina might drive the RV to Brooksville and use it to cook breakfast for anyone willing to pay for it. Not sure if it would be eggs, bacon and toast or pancakes. Something simple, anyway. Probably coffee too.

Anyone interested?
