Hmmm, eggs, bacon, coffee. Sounds good to me!

Speaking of coffee, we should all have a bag or two of this stuff --> http://redlinecoffee.com/ I highly recommend the double-clutch.

Sounds entertaining, if not fast. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_08

Count me in. Bill, we sort of narrowed it down to being a likely damaged rear shock. Any chance of getting our hands on a pair of rear shocks (even used ones) and replacing them before December 15?

I wasn't actually serious, but if you want entertaining you are more than welcome.

I don't know if I have time to search, so unless someone says "I have some you can have for cheap (or free)" I doubt it. I don't think I've left the office before 7 in weeks and I spend half of each weekend working at home. The other half the weekend I finally give my family a few hours of my time.

I wonder what Jeff might be able to locate?

Bill, I'd suggest some sort of breakfast finger-food. Biscuits w/ egg and sausage or bacon and cheese... muffins... stuff that's quick and easy to eat without the need for plates and utensils.

You'd need to register in class H and be certain that any of your runs in a car that isn't eligible for H are either slower than your runs in the legal car, or are zeroed out somehow. Wouldn't hurt to let your competition know what's going on so nobody has any hard feelings.

Bob,

If it makes it easier I don't want you to screw up your ass-kickery in Class H so maybe you can ridealong with me on a couple of runs and co-drive Steve's car like you did last event.

I was just making sure you had a ride for December! 8)

People can burn off the calories by setting u the course. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_01

You do realize this is my nefarious plan to make the competition heavier and therefore slower.

Man, I'm just not sure I have what it takes to drive a shifter kart! Maybe at some event I'm not chairing, I'll bring my suit and give it a try.

Okay, everbody... get registered. Remind all your friends to get registered. Claim your favorite work assignment, but be ready to potentially fill-in working course if needed. Do it now!

Time to let the cat peek out of the bag a little bit,
here's what I'm giving you for Christmas...

We're doing TWO courses at this event, and both will run at the same time! Gory details below, but in short more entries is better. So, come Monday, I'm gonna start pushing this hard on local forums (feel free to do the same... but give the regulars through this weekend to get signed up) to try to get us 50-60 entries.

What all this means to you, the autocrosser is:
Minimum 5-6 runs on each course.
Short course work (1 hour... but you'll have to do it twice).
Two different courses.

Now, don't worry about the course being too short or slow, it won't be. Our typical Brooksville course uses 1600 feet of runway. Each of these courses will use 1000 feet. (there's 2400 feet available not including our usual grid area) The times should be in the 30-40 second range instead of the 45-60 second range, but otherwise you won't notice any difference in how these courses drive compared to a typical Bville course. (for reference, the usable area of SPC is only 400x600 feet!)

We'll be running smaller groups at this event so that we can have two groups on each course. So, probably 12-15 cars per group rather than the usual 18-25. This gives a smaller worker pool, but with shorter courses, we'll get by.

With smaller groups, we can get away with running a casual "just-line-up-and-run" grid. Each group will run each course for an hour. As many runs as you can get! One course will be stopwatch-timed, not recorded, and for practice only. The other course will be the "competition" course, timed as usual. May throw a curve at you regarding which comp runs count... haven't decided yet.

If the entry count ends up lower than desired, we'll simply do 3 groups rather than 4 and rotate the 3rd group through the practice course and let them work it "fun run" style.

If all goes as planned, everyone should get about a dozen runs on two different courses, and we should be DONE by 3:30pm!

Cool, huh? 8)
