I have some parking signs I'll bring out to help direct the new people to the proper parking area. I'll have three parking signs with arrows. Would we want a "Staging Area Only" sign or something along those lines for the course area?

Are there any forms that I should print off for the Novice School and autocross before this happens???

yes, SPC requires a special registration form and their own insurance waiver. I have not gotten them yet, but eventually will and when I do I'll put them on the website to download. They will be at the bottom of THIS PAGE.

There are already forms there, but they are old so don't get them yet.

The forms will be available onsite at regstration, but it saves a little time to have them done ahead of time.

If you do download, please plan to print the forms back-to-back (you just run them through the printer twice). Fewer pages to keep track of and saves a little paper.

Just keep an eye on the link above. I'll post again when the forms are available.

Just curious...does the person who is setting up the course know way ahead of time what it will be...if so is there a track map available??

The school isn't so much a course as a series of exercises. We've used the same setup for the last few years -- some offsets, a slalom, and a double skidpad. You'll drive them all enough to be tired of them by the end of the day. :)

If you attend the event on sunday there'll be a course. I've already finished with it. I just sent it to get approved, unofficially. As soon as it gets back with any revisions I need to make I'll post the course map in the other thread for the event on the 21st.

We will be doing timed runs the day of the school before and after so you can see your improvement. We loosely combine the exercises to form a course.

Good to know. I'll make sure to bring the timing gear. Are we doing it like last year where every person is in their own "class"?

Kenny- Yeah, It's just to show their improvement. Also, how many feet of cable do we have for the timing lights? The course I want to run on the 21st has the lights pretty far apart(about 450 feet).

I'm sure we've got plenty. I made 1000' of cable (a 500' and 2 250' lengths) for our last Lakeland event. That's not including the other cables we've got also.

Do they all have good connectors? IIRC, we've been having problems with one of them.

I am signed up for Novice School, am I correct to assume that I need to be there at 8am?
