You need to be there between 7:00 and 7:30. If you show up at 8:00 you'll be thirty minutes late.

An instructional notice has been sent to all school students through MyAutoEvents.

A similar notice is in the works for staff.

Speaking of such. I need to start thinking about "classroom materials".

Do we still have the laminated course map and a whiteboard?

I saw the coursemap in one of the bins recently. There was a small white board someone brought in -- I think the large one we used to post times on is gone. Not sure whether there's any functioning dry erase markers -- haven't used them for awhile.

An email has been sent to all school staff, except Evan Warner, for whom I do not have a valid email. Evan, are you out there? Can anyone help a brother out?

The school lami-map is in the trailer somewhere. There are quite a few dry erase markers, some fairly new and should work fine.

If you need a large whiteboard (I think it is about 3 ft wide and 4 feet high) I have one I can bring. Let me know if you need it.

Thanks to all you folks that work to put all this stuff together.

Thanks, what I need is a smaller "tabletop" whiteboard. 18x24" or so. If the one Dave left for us isn't still in the trailer, I'll either run over to WalMart and get one or muddle through without.

jdr_racer wrote:Are there any forms that I should print off for the Novice School and autocross before this happens???
I wrote:yes, SPC requires a special registration form and their own insurance waiver. I have not gotten them yet, but eventually will and when I do I'll put them on the website to download. They will be at the bottom of THIS PAGE.

There are already forms there, but they are old so don't get them yet.

The forms will be available onsite at regstration, but it saves a little time to have them done ahead of time.

If you do download, please plan to print the forms back-to-back (you just run them through the printer twice). Fewer pages to keep track of and saves a little paper.

Just keep an eye on the link above. I'll post again when the forms are available.
Ok. The forms are available. Go to this page and you can find links for the forms at the bottom. This form is also for the event on the 21st - one form per person, whether there one day or two.

I am ready to learn on Saturday...

and ready to put it to use on Sunday!

So far the weather looks to be perfect both days! Gotta love Florida. (I do miss driving on snow and ice once in awhile though. )

But you don't miss living in it, do you? (Spent part of last week back in snow and ice, and all of next week...already thoroughly tired of it!)

Finally, works over. I'm going to eat dinner, play some GT4, and go to bed early.

Everyone, get some rest, wake up on time and I'll see you in the morning.

Son of a... Looks like i'm not going to make it. I'm getting sick yet again. Of course my wife had the flew earlier this week and i've got the signs i'm getting it now. I was hoping I had fought it off. I guess we'll find out in the morning, but if I'm not there, I'll be stuck in the bathroom at home....I'd much rather be chasing cones. Got a feeling if you don't see me Sat., I won't be there sunday either. I sure miss the days when I never got sick. Getting older sucks. Cross your fingers it passes tonight...I know I am.

Hope you will be OK. I was sick for last year's novice school and ended up having to give up part way through the day so I know what you are facing.

What worries me is I was running a fever last night and this morning. I'll be there tomorrow and push through the day. If I have to I'll stay home on Sunday (except for helping to delivere lunch).
