Offer is still open. The S2k is running real smooth and seems to have more throttle response since I switched gas brands a few months back.

All my vehicles seem to like Chevron. Even the generator in the RV which had a gummed up carb is almost clear again! Must be the added Tecron.
Mine likes the good stuff too. I always fill up with Shell or Chevron before an event weekend.

Shell and Chevron are/were the locally available "top tier" gasolines, back when "top tier" was a thing.

The gasoline all comes from the same tanks at the port, it's the additives that set the brands apart.
Buying "cheap" gas, and adding a bottle of Techron each tank would work, but probably works out to more expensive than just buying a brand name gas.

When I got my Miata almost 4 years ago ( ! ), the motor would stumble when cold. I added one bottle of Techron to it, and in 3 days of driving the stumble was gone, and has never come back using just Chevron gas. I'm not saying Techron is the only additive that works, but it does in fact work.

Nothing but Chevron or Shell for me, thanks.

Alright, that's it. I'm gonna put me some Chevron gas in my Yaris and find out if this "throttle response" myth is true. :P

Bottles of Techron are expensive; $5-6 each IIRC.

Filling up at Chevron costs me about $0.04 per gallon more than Hess. The most I've ever put in the S2k is 11 gallons. So for $0.44 more per fill up I've got a car that runs much better. And an RV generator that won't need an expensive servicing.

This is a cheap way to have a better running vehicle! :D

I could give it a lifetime... but, without some major hardware modification, the Yaris won't have anything that resembles "throttle response"!

So far it says afternoon to evening showers. I'm really hoping for evening showers. Any chance we can run the R-compound classes first, just in case?

REGISTRATION, aka Mark and Alexis

I would like to change my number from 30 to number 14, since there's no one else pre-registered with that number, I'd like to make this request.

Brian Kollar, Class J

Thanks :)

For future reference, and for Brian's sake, if a number is reserved, but the person who reserved it isn't attending a given event, can't the number be used for that one event anyway?

FWIW, at sign in at SPC, when walkups need numbers, if the number isn't on the list for that particular event, I've always considered it available.

For Brooksville, I wouldn't see a problem. For SPC, online pre-registration isn't the final list...if I were a walk-up with a (paid-for) reserved number, I'd expect that number to be available to me.

So since walkup numbers at SPC aren't assigned until the end of registration when anyone preregistered should be there already, then we effectively agree.

If a walkup at SPC were assigned a reserved number whose owner showed up late, the walkup # would just get changed and the owner would get their reserved number. Evidently this hasn't been an issue, since I can't think of it happening.

So, since the owner of number 14 is not preregistered, Brian can just hold off changing his number assignment until registration is done and we're sure #14 isn't gonna show, yes? (And the same for anyone else, although we'd rather not have too many last-minute changes...)

One last minute change, but I kinda warned ya about it. I'm going to change from F class to B for this event. Going to go for the kumho 710's and see how they run. The rears feel a little slick, but hopefully the drive down will soften them up enough. I think it'll be worth the experience. And man do those wide tires look GOOD!

Nope I'm just going to pucker up....and hopefully jet around lunch for the first time (love doing setup). Especially since I dont' have any front window seals too. If I knew better I'd sit this event out, but with my Dad being in town I figured what the hell. If I do get caught in the rain, I'm going to map out a bunch of backroads to stay out of the way.
