We have several people requesting to run early (or expressing hope here in the forum) and assuming we'll find a way to make it happen...unfortunately, some will be disappointed. Can't keep classes together, get in a bazillion runs, safely operate the event, and get 65 drivers done before lunch....

Don't we only have four R-compound classes? One with no
one and one with one. If I was to run in F I'd be all bout running later, even with the awd cars. I'm realy hoping the rain holds off till later in the afternoon. I really want to try these kumhos out. I must admit I had a great time in sept in the rain!!!!

Hmm, the wet weather is now up to 30% by 10am. http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyho ... =86#hhView I guess the stockers need to go back on...not worth trying to keep the slicks on. DAMN, too bad we weren't racing today. Man it's been beautiful out.

I think it's rude to ask for a specific run order based on the tires you chose to run. Now, since you have a possibly leaky windshield, if I were organizing groups, I would be more than happy to work with you based on that.

There are many street tires that are horrible in the rain also. Kumho MX and XS come to mind. It's like driving on ice with those things, as opposed to Dunlops which are excellent in the rain.

Not to mention that unless there is standing water, r comps are not that bad in the rain, still faster than street tires. Am I right?

Really? Well, that's cool. Just figured it'd be nice for the R-compound guys to go out first if they wanted. I'm back on the michelins. I just couldn't risk it with my DD. Just didn't seem smart with the showers creeping into the AM. Of course now that I switched back it probably won't rain till later...well except for the winshield thing. That I can work around...I have to crawl in through the rear hatch...but I can ride home without getting totally soaked (I think). Sorry for anyone with my back and forth crap. First time with having a choice of tires. Gotta find a deal on a trailer.

You'll hear no complaints from me about running in the rain. :D

There is a small chance I won't make it, depending on if I receive an item in the mail before 3/28, though. I think it will make it, but I'll be up the proverbial creek if it doesn't.
I thought that was a done deal! I'm already registered to drive your car. :)

If you can't make it due to your car, come anyway, we'll just drive mine. New set of Star Specs going on this week... woohoo!
I just wanted to confirm that I will be there tomorrow. I think my Kumhos are over a year old, so the tires will be a few steps down for you. Nonetheless, my car has rarely handled better than it did last time at Saint Pete.

Eh, I've been on nearly 2-year-old worn out Toyo T1R's for the last few events. No grip, no tread, and that wonderful T1R lack of steering response. I'm sure your car will be dandy in comparison! (I have new Star Specs on the Yaris now, but have yet to autocross on them)

I'll be transporting Bill's S2000 to the event, so my car won't be there. If you didn't show, I'd have been scrounging for a ride!

See y'all in the morning!
