True, it is VERY difficult to design a proper course for SPC. I've spent an awful lot of time (sometimes even with people who should know better) explaining to people why the course they've drawn for SPC won't work.

Gotta keep proper distance from the walls and rails and curbs, gotta keep the trailer and grid area safe, gotta protect the timing equipment, and can't let the scale of the map trick you into making the course too tight! (an EASY trap to fall into at SPC)

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

I am just glad that we won't see an attempt at a 8 cone slalom with 15' spacing since Eric drives a vette :)

Seriously, when have you EVER seen anything that extreme on a FAST course? (yes, I know you were exaggerating) Have a little faith in our course review process, would ya? :P

Aright who wants to setup and volunteer for saftey? Loren is helping me with the course map, but he won't be here for the event.

Also looking for someone for supplies. I noticed we had just under 4 cases of water, 1 12 pack of mountain due, sprite, ice tea and something else I can't recall. Not sure if we had any loose cans in any of the other coolers though. Anyone know how we are doing on marble dust?

Course teaser!

I packed the soda and water. I think you are correct about the quantities. There is 1 cooler with loose soda, but there were very few left, maybe 6 or 8.

I think there is a mis-classed car for this event. I wouldn't think a 2008 Dodge Charger in J STOCK. Can someone check into that???

Eric I am so curious what you course is going to look like!

Eric, where in Largo do you live? We should meet up for a brewski some time. Right now, I'm living off 8th Ave SW, near that Publix at Clearwater/Largo and West Bay.

Holy $%^U...do you guys hang over the entry list all day looking for classing errors? :| If it's been there less than 24 hours, I probably haven't even read the e-mails yet.... The grid's filling fast -- 51 entries as of tonight. At this rate, we'll be at the cap before the weekend...I need to figure out whether I'll have a car!

Sounds good to me. I'm just off Starkey and Ulmerton. Just north from the Sonic.

Thanks, it's shorter than I wanted, but I had issues with longer course layouts. They just had bad flow. Here's another teaser.
