What if the Charger is a V6 model? I can't really find any new charger in SCCA's crappy rulebook.

Since the charger and chrysler 300 are almost identical I used the Chrysler 300. Under the chrysler 300 it says V6 and V8 models are FS which is G for us. I do think it should stay in J if it's a V6 though.

The course map has been approved!

Check out the link below...but for those eager to see it, you'll have to figure out the password to view the PDF. Feel free to share the password if you figure it out...or not. It's up to you. I will unlock it later for those not wanting to play or once someone posts the password.

Hint: It has to do with the location.

If it is of any help, Country Skillet can provide take out sandwiches (variety mix of Ham, Roast Beef, Tuna Salad, and Turkey) in styrofoam boxes with chips and coleslaw for the $5 max.

Let me know if its needed and I'll make the arrangements.

Before you go dumping 250hp V6's into class J voluntarily, consider that it IS our lowest class and includes SCCA H Stock cars, as well as G Stock cars. I'd prefer to wait until such a car is specifically listed in G Stock before allowing it in our J class.

So sorry. I should have specified that I think the base model with the 200hp 2.7L V6 should be in J. The 3.5L V6 and Hemi V8 should be in G.

If you don't think the base model should be in J. Then you'll have to try and make a case for Joe's Genesis 2.0T to be kicked out of J. Considering it has more power, handles better, and brakes better than a base charger.

I sent an email to the SCCA requesting classing for these cars. I'll let you know if I hear back.

I'm just saying don't be so quick to move cars into our lowest class on a whim.

I'll accept whatever SCCA throws into GS and HS, but we don't need to randomly assign cars of unknown potential to our lowest class.

We chose to rely on SCCA as a basis for our classing because we don't want to be in the business of classifying every new car that comes along. We let them do it.

Hi, Jeremy,

Those cars have not been specifically classed yet. Going off of what is in each class I will tell you what they would more than likely be.

Dodge Charger V8- FS (this is for all V8 Chargers)
Dodge Charger V6- GS (this is for all V6 Chargers)
Mercedes Benz E63 AMG- SS

Thanks Jeremy for getting the info with you connections!!! I wasn't even aware that Dodge had a V-6 Charger.

Why doesn't the SCCA have updated info that is readily available????

I'm signed up, and I have the timing equipment so I guess I can set up the timer and help unload the trailer, but you can put me down for my offical work assingment as a "starter" becaue I love waving the green flag!! :P

Question on the timing equipment, I know the batteries need to be charged, is there a timer on the charger or do I just charge them manually? If so how long?

It was an error, but it works now.

Edit:
I figgerd it out. Guessed it, then better understood Scott's clue.

At setup, plan to move the trailer over just a little to not block the view of the course from the picnic tables. Other comments to follow later so as to not spoil it for those less fortunate...
