Absolutely a great event, great course and I finally got the ole Kumho's to hook up. The course was very smooth and an absolute blast to drive. As I told a few people, I had so much fun driving the course, I had a hard time looking back to see where I could pick up speed. I just went out there and drove the wheels off. A big thanks to Scoot and Mary for hauling my wheels up and back. I really appreciated that.

Here's my first run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z-e5nCQ2HM

Thanks, everyone for a wonderful day. I'm still not fast, but I'm faster than I was. My fourth time (second at Brooksville), and at least I didn't spin out. Off course, yeah, but no spinout.

The heat was a killer. By the time I was working group 3 I was really beginning to wilt. I was pouring water over my head as much as drinking it. Straight to car afterwards and sit with the A/C blowing hard. Then the leg cramps started. This growing old thing is no fun.

Won't make July or August due to other committments, but am looking forward to making Sept.

Gotta go back and look at all the pics.

Another one hooked on grip -- I can predict the next phone call to Canada. :)
WAFlowers wrote:Oops! Not sure how that happened. Three of us agreed to each take a bag of trash and I have mine. I guess I didn't look back as I was driving away.
It actually funny -- four of us pulled out together, and I looked back to see this big black bag sitting there in the open, like it jumped off the trailer. Good thing I drive with the top down...would have had to hold my breath in a coupe!

Yeah...that has to stop! Two freakin' tenths...I suppose I can blame only having one-third the displacement...that's it, yeah....

Just be glad I only have a 2.59 rear end and an automatic. Leaving her in second left a good bit of time on the track. Hmmm, I wonder what a 3:08 would run me (optional performance rearend for my car in 96). I must say I was completely surprised how little I had to slow down for the slalom. Now those are just plain FUN with sticky rubber!!!! 8) 8)

Excellent showing Chris and team.

Only complaint is possibly next time rigging up something to alleviate the heat-maybe schedule some cloud cover or a temporary cool spell. Then you would get one of these: :D

Fun course...like has been said...car placement was key.

Chris,
Again, great course. You can see from the video, you suckered me with the dummy apex after the slalom. That was my first run. I had a 3.734 second improvement without cones. If you count them, 7.198 seconds.

Loren,
You'll be glad to see I did get close enough to the cones to hit them(3).

Evan,
Great job. You had me worried...

Jaryd Thomson,
What the heck! Were did you come from?!?

Thanks Jeremy for the video. Watching it helps me learn what I did wrong. Its an awsome tool. All the guys on the challenger fourm love it too. Most of those guys just drag race so it was cool to be able to post something different.

Jeremy, do you think you could post a little info about what sort of camera setup you use?

Is being a CPA the reason you don't make events? I still plan on attending events, just not chairing them.

It is from January to April...and other times here and there. Well, at least you're still going to attend! Actually, I can't really blame work too much for not attending many events lately. For several months in a row this past season, I have attended several track events that happened to be the same weekend as FAST events. Other than that, we've been spending a crap-load of time building our ChumpCar. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_06
