Yep, we'll need two bags of chalk.

Jamie, that's a cool course layout. I've already got the two Y's set to memory. 8)

As far as the bags of chalk. I have not been able to find any at the sport stores around here that have it. I live just South of Tarpon Springs. I think there was a shop down south in Largo or that area that had it. Could someone that is aware of where it it and lives near there please pick some up? I did talk the guys at a local park here into selling me some a while back, but they were pretty clear it was a one time thing.

Thanks! Is there someone in that area that can pick it up? That's about an hour and a half round trip from where I am.

No worries. Back in the 70's, I used to pimp a bad-ass Diplomat around to local auto-x's. But it got to a point where it was scaring some of the kids.

I just hope my battery doesn't take a dump this time. If it does, I have my receipt and will be bringing it back to Willy-Bob at the Walmarts.

Looks like it's gonna be a good-un. Sorry I'm gonna miss it.

The SPC regsitration form and waiver are at the bottom of this page. If you choose to print them ahead of time (please do), it'd be quite convenient to do so in double-sided mode, if you wouldn't mind. 8)

Still need someone to pick up the chalk. I will not be able to get down to Seminole before Saturday. Anyone live in that area? Thanks, Scott

If I can get out of work early Friday (technically I should be off this friday), I'd be more than happy to do it. But right now, it's not looking good. I should know more by end of day today...

Thanks Eric. BTW, if you need tire transport, let me know.

If it does not work for Eric, any other folks in that area willing to help out?

No problem. St Pete's not a far drive, so I'll just drive on the slicks. 8) Hopefully the skys will stay clear till late afternoon. I can take slow backroads to get home if need be.

Hope the weather holds for you. Post up quickly if you find that you will not be able to pick up the chaulk dust.... or is it lime? That way hopefully someone else will step up. Otherwise, there won't be any line marking of the course. I cannot get down there to pick it up. Meetings all day, and they close at 6:00.

Looks to be a fun course...the Brooksville slalom gets a bit trying. Add some rain and I might have a chance against those 'A' class guys...Looking forward to it!

Are we going to move the timing trailer off to the side of the pad?

We'll keep the trailer near the edge of the pad, but there's not room to position it off the pad.

No rain!

Jamie: Liz mistakenly registered in C class rather than H. Can you please change her to F.

NO RAIN! And you just need some 17x11's with 315/35's on the rear of that bad boy....I seriously don't know how you keep the rear end planted on that car.

I'm trying like hell to get out of here by 3pm. Come hell or highwater, I'm bailing at 5 which will give me enough time to get down there (unless someone else can make it). Next time I'll take the ole truck (it's down again) and buy like 6-8 bags so we don't have to keep panicing the week before the race.

Careful. That stuff soaks up moisture and turns into neat white bricks, we can't leave a bunch of it in the trailer. Couple that with the fact that we might only run every other event at SPC... this is why we don't normally buy more than 2-3 bags. 1-2 for the current event plus a couple extra to have on hand. (and there may be some in the trailer right now unless someone is sure that there isn't)

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

To whomever gets there early tomorrow (Eric?)... I left the timing box in the trailer after the last event. Could you take out the batteries and charge them for about 30 minutes each? We've got plenty of time in the morning before first car off even if somebody doesn't get to it.

Oh yeah, handle side faces up on the timer box before you open it.
