Yeah, it's likely to be at least a year. It's not the kind of event we can do very often. But, if you like multiple laps... get thee to a race track!

Charles sent me this picture to post. It describes Endurocross quite well.

Scott, I got a look at your video. All I can tell from that one lap is that you're sort of making the same mistakes Charles was making, though not quite as "straight" in the S turns. The biggest thing, though, is just that you're not driving the car smoothly. Simplest example is the turn-around. Instead of turning in once in the right place and holding a line, you're sawing at the wheel throughout the turn. You do it a little in the slalom, too.

I know it's not easy with such a fast car, but if you can learn to really keep your mind ahead of the car and COMMIT to exactly what you want to do, you'll be able to drive smoother. (something tells me that this is the same sort of advice that you give to Mary when you coach her, huh?) Then, driving smoother, you'll be able to add more speed. There's a LOT more in that car. Should be a couple seconds faster than Charles & Jeremy in the 240.

Great layout Loren. Proves that you can make a course that works for all types of vehicles.
Couldn't make it Sunday, I spent half the day replacing a drive belt on the clothes dryer.
That's fun too right? I'll post a video later. :roll:

You'd have liked Sunday. Some of the gates were removed (less clutter), and the whole S maneuver was stretched so that it was a little bit easier to drive. I thought Sunday was a much better course.

But, yeah... fixing a clothes dryer is good, too.

Here is a link to my video with the raw audio. I know the GoPro really provides a lot of sound reduction...but it sure seems like I could have pushed much harder. I like my lne...just need to do it faster!

Thanks Loren. That's exactly the type of advice I am looking for. Next time I am going to use the camera with wide angle view to really keep tabs on what I am doing. Good to have an area to focus on. Much appreciated. Scott

I put another video together. Check out the link below.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GG1vXS1EapE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The whole time I was working on this I was thinking that I can't wait until I get more footage so that I can actually do some real editing. Then I started thinking that among all of us FAST members, we already have a lot of cool footage.

If any of you are interested in sending me your raw footage (from FAST events) I can start putting together a true highlight film. I enjoy doing this kind of stuff and I thought it would be cool to incorporate all of us into one highlight reel. If interested, e-mail me your best footage. shonsparks@gmail.com

We need to find you a better place to mount the camera. As far back as it is, not only can't you see the course or your hands, but since it's behind the center of rotation, it's giving a distorted view of what the car's doing. Scott's camera on the Stalker has a similar problem in that respect, but since you can see the driver's hands and the front wheels, there's visual cues to bring things back in line.

Maybe on the cross-bar behind the seat? Or on the seat (headrest) itself?

Found this video- Someone named Rydell, running an endurocross on the same day as ours! On a runway that looks just like Brooksville!! The starter even looks just like Loren!!! The pure coincidences are astounding!!!!!
