registering young drivers

Postby rojeho » Fri Oct 22, 2010 10:52 pm

I have a 17 year old nephew that I may bring out to his first event in November. What are the club rules for drivers < 18 years old?

If he has a valid drivers license, he's eligible to participate. He'll need a minor waiver signed by one or both parents or guardians...are one of them planning to come out and watch?

Wow, Jamie, <1 minute response on Friday night. That there's customer service :P I sent and logged out not expecting such an immediate response!

I would guess that parents will come out sometime during the day, based on the run schedule. Would they need to be there at registration or is it possible to get the form early and bring it signed?

Random timing...don't get used to it! :)

We're generally more comfortable meeting the parents, just to make sure. Steve's the final arbeiter, though.

Just saw this. Yes we need to be sure that who's signing is who they say they are. We'd prefer they come on site with ID. Or I can email you a pdf of the form and they can have it notarized which is what we've done before. Lemme know.
